How Much Jenna Ortega’s Jaw-Dropping Jeweled Emmys Look Weighed

Jenna Ortega knows that beauty is pain—and a little hefty on the muscles.

Jenna Ortega’s stunning Givenchy gown, covered in diamonds, made a splash at the 2025 Emmys, but she admitted it was surprisingly heavy and a bit of a strain to wear.

Stylist Enrique Melendez remembered a conversation with his client where she told him, ‘I love it, Enrique, but could we choose something a little more comfortable next time?’ She was referring to a heavy piece that weighed around 20 to 30 pounds and was pressing into her collarbone, making it difficult to move.

Enrique, Jenna’s stylist since 2014, was impressed with the *Beetlejuice* star’s ability to fully embrace each moment and not let anything bother her, allowing her to confidently pull off any look.

The 22-year-old made a striking impression at the event on September 14th, confidently posing on the red carpet to highlight the bold, colorful jewels on her top. She finished the custom outfit – which she also wore while presenting an award – with a black skirt featuring a high slit and heels.

The weight of the top wasn’t their only concern. Because it was covered in large diamonds, there was a risk it might shift and reveal too much, but the actress wasn’t worried about a wardrobe malfunction.

He shared that she told him, ‘Enrique, I’m not afraid of accidentally showing too much, but I definitely want to be respectful of the Academy.’ He explained that he was the one concerned about a wardrobe malfunction, so they made sure to use strong tape and take all the necessary precautions. It was the first time they’d done a look that was so revealing.

The stylist spotted the quirky outfit back in March, but it didn’t fully come together until August, when she was at the premiere of *Wednesday* season two in New York.

Okay, so he said she tried it on, and it was *perfect*. Like, a glove! And get this – he said you can’t even *alter* it, it’s a real couture piece, totally one-of-a-kind. But it fit her like it was made for her, and honestly? He said it was *meant* to be. I KNEW it! It was destiny, I just *knew* it would look amazing on her, and it did! It was perfect, absolutely perfect.
