Nara Smith always has something cooking.
The lifestyle influencer told TopMob News that her kids aren’t always thrilled with her cooking, sometimes refusing to eat meals she’s spent seven hours preparing.
Oh my gosh, Nara is just *amazing*! Seriously, with over 12 million of us following her, we’re all completely hooked! I can’t get enough of her videos – she’s pregnant and still creating these incredible dishes from scratch! And her voice? It’s so soothing while she’s cooking… honestly, the more she posts, the more we all want! I’m obsessed!
This fall, Nara, who will be 24 on September 27th, is expecting her fourth child in five years with her husband, Lucky Blue Smith.
Even though her family just moved into their renovated farmhouse in Connecticut, she’s planning to have her baby at home.
As the room began to take shape on September 21st, she said in a calm TikTok video, ‘Let’s get everything prepared.’
Nara’s become a huge online star very quickly, but she’s actually been on Instagram since she was 13 – she even pretended to be 14 to start posting! She still doesn’t understand why a video of her dog, Lucky, simply cutting an apple suddenly went viral almost two years ago.
She encouraged listeners on the July episode of *On Purpose With Jay Shetty* to keep pursuing their passions, saying that eventually, something will pay off.
She started by occasionally sharing food-related videos alongside her fashion and beauty content, like daily routines and outfit ideas. Now, her cooking demonstrations are what she’s best known for.
She first gained attention online with a video of her making homemade bread, butter, and peach jam for her children, as she shared on the *On Purpose* podcast. She also remembered that she spoke more calmly and naturally in the video because her baby was napping nearby.
She speaks in a gentle, soothing monotone – the kind of voice often used in ASMR – as she explains what she’s doing, from making ice cream late at night to showing her skincare routine while traveling.
She explained to GQ in 2024 that she shares things – whether it’s a recipe, a dish she’s made for her child, or simply a comforting presence – to motivate others.
What was a legitimate whirlwind, however, was Nara’s road to building a family with Lucky.
Nara Pellmann was 18 years old when she connected with model Lucky through Instagram direct messages in late 2019. They quickly began exchanging text messages after that.
Nara jokingly called Lucky a terrible texter on her podcast, *On Purpose*, but their first phone conversation went on for seven hours! Despite living far apart – Lucky in Los Angeles and Nara in Germany, where she was raised – they spoke every day. They share an 8-year-old daughter named Gravity with Lucky’s ex-partner, Stormi Bree.
Just two weeks after first speaking, they discovered they were both going to the same fashion show in Milan.
Lucky and Nara met in person and immediately started dating – she playfully warned him he’d have to be serious about her! He didn’t waste any time, asking her father for her hand in marriage when he met her parents. Soon after, Nara flew to Los Angeles to meet his family, and they were engaged within two weeks. Just two months later, in February 2020, they tied the knot.
It all happened so fast and unexpectedly, but it was wonderful, and now, five years have passed.
Meanwhile, daughter Rumble Honey was born on Oct. 7, 2020.
Nara explained that having their first child forced them to improve their communication, support each other more, become less stubborn, and be more loving and understanding.
Becoming a mom wasn’t something I ever really wanted for her, but she always said that all changed the moment she met Lucky. That’s when she knew, she told me, everything just… clicked. It was like everything finally made sense.
Son Slim Easy was born Jan. 6, 2022, and then daughter Whimsy Lou arrived on April 8, 2024.
Nara announced in June that she’s expecting her fourth child. She joked on TikTok that coming up with names is becoming a challenge, but she plans to continue using the strategy of choosing names that sound good together.
Although it might seem like Nara is embracing a very traditional homemaker lifestyle, she was surprised when someone described her life that way. She wasn’t aiming for any specific historical role model when she became a mother at 19.
She explained on the *On Purpose* podcast, ‘I was so surprised when he asked that!’ We really share everything – we both work, we have kids, and we divide the household tasks equally. I enjoy cooking, so I do it willingly, and my husband, Lucky, takes care of the cleaning.
I honestly never thought about her trying to be a role model,” she said. “I’ve always believed everyone should make their own decisions, and I would never judge anyone for how they live their life.
If anyone feels motivated to create a fancy outfit and cook something like orange chicken after seeing Nara make it seem simple, that’s perfectly fine.
I just love to cook and share that with everyone, but I also like to have fun with my outfits – things you wouldn’t normally see someone wearing while cooking!
Let alone without an apron.
Nara said she’s surprisingly never spilled anything on herself, which she finds a bit strange. She quickly added that she hopes she hasn’t just spoken too soon and caused it to happen now.
Nara hasn’t shared details about her earnings, but here’s what other influencers have revealed about how much money they’re making.
