Prince William is the king of avoiding royally uncomfortable questions.
It’s been really tough seeing everything unfold with my uncle, Prince Andrew. After all the allegations surrounding Jeffrey Epstein and the loss of his royal titles, I was asked at a climate summit in Brazil how the family was coping with the changes. It’s definitely been a difficult time for all of us.
When asked about the situation, William skillfully changed the topic to focus on his nonprofit’s Earthshot Prize. In a November 5th interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour, he explained that the prize is “a classic example of change.”
Instead of just talking about the award, we’re actually putting it into action,” William explained. The award celebrates five people yearly who are making a difference for the environment. “I want the focus to be on them. The people here are the real heroes, and lasting change will happen by supporting their work, not through anything I do personally.
Last month, Prince Andrew said he would no longer use the title Duke of York. This decision came after increased attention to his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and accusations made by Virginia Giuffre in 2021. While Giuffre filed a civil lawsuit against him, and they reached an out-of-court settlement in 2022, Prince Andrew has consistently denied any wrongdoing.
Soon after, King Charles III removed all of Prince Andrew’s royal titles. He will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and will be leaving his home at Royal Lodge.

Buckingham Palace announced today that King Charles has begun the process of removing Prince Andrew’s royal titles and honors. The palace stated this action is being taken despite the fact that Prince Andrew continues to deny the accusations against him.
Although William hasn’t commented publicly, TopMob News reported that he, Kate Middleton, and Queen Camilla all agreed with the king’s decision.
The palace stated that the King and Queen continue to offer their full support and deepest sympathy to anyone affected by abuse of any kind.

Following Prince Andrew’s decision to step down from his Duke of York title, King Charles III announced that his brother would also lose his home at Royal Lodge and no longer be known as a Prince.
Buckingham Palace announced today that King Charles has begun the official steps to strip Prince Andrew of his royal titles and honors. He will now be known simply as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.

Prince Andrew, the younger brother of King Charles III, has announced he will no longer use the title Duke of York. This decision comes after ongoing public concern about his connection to the late Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender.
After talking with The King and my family, I’ve realized the ongoing accusations against me are taking attention away from the important work of His Majesty and the Royal Family,” Andrew said in a statement. “As I’ve always done, I’m prioritizing my family and country. That’s why I’m standing by my decision to step back from public life, a decision I made five years ago.”
Andrew stated that, with the King’s approval, he was taking things a step further. He would be giving up his royal title and any honors he’d received. As he’s said before, he strongly rejects the claims made against him.

In October 2025, the King and his oldest son attended the Countdown to COP30 event at the Natural History Museum in London.

The charity has informed the Duchess of this decision and expressed its gratitude for her previous contributions, according to The Guardian.
According to a representative from Ferguson, the email was sent following a threat made by Epstein.

After a 19-month absence, Prince Harry was spotted arriving at Clarence House – the King’s home in London – likely to visit his father before attending another event in the city.

Just a day before turning 78, the royal was made an honorary Vice Admiral by the United Kingdom’s Royal Navy.
Camilla is the first woman to receive this honorary title. It’s awarded only by the reigning monarch—in this case, her husband, King Charles III—based on a recommendation from the First Sea Lord, currently Sir Gwyn Jenkins.

Just hours before she was scheduled to attend, Princess Catherine cancelled her appearance at Royal Ascot, the annual horse race. Kensington Palace confirmed the news to NBC News.
The palace said Kate was sad to miss the event, but she’s still working out how to manage her public appearances as she recovers from cancer.

Prince Harry’s lawsuit seeking extra security ended on May 2nd when the courts rejected his claim. This followed a decision over a year prior where the High Court, through the Royal and VIP Executive Committee, had already denied his request for increased protection.
After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stopped being full-time working royals in 2021 and moved to the U.S., their security protection was reduced. However, Harry continued to request security arrangements whenever he returned to the U.K. in the following years.

He doesn’t foresee returning to the U.K. with his family anytime soon. He expressed sadness about not being able to share his heritage and culture with his children.
Harry explained that his father has significant influence and could potentially solve the situation. He suggested this wouldn’t require direct involvement, but rather allowing professionals to handle things without interference.
After years of fighting, he’s now seeking peace and a chance to make amends. He explained, “Life is too short, and I don’t know how much time my father has left.”

More than a year after revealing his cancer diagnosis, King Charles wrote on April 29th that going through treatment has highlighted the kindness and strength he’s seen in people.
In a booklet offering support to cancer patients and their families, Charles wrote that receiving a diagnosis is understandably scary. However, drawing from his own experience, he shared that it can also reveal incredible kindness and strength in people.
He expressed gratitude to the healthcare workers who cared for him, and shared that the experience deepened his respect for the incredible work done by the organizations and people present, many of whom he’s known and supported for years.

Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – were absent from the royal family’s traditional Easter service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor on April 20th.
King Charles III and Queen Camilla joined the rest of the royal family in celebrations, but Prince William and Kate chose to spend the weekend at their country home in Norfolk with their children, according to several news sources.
This was the second Easter the couple missed. It happened just a week after Princess Catherine revealed she was undergoing cancer treatment.

On April 15th, Jason Knauf was appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Prince William’s environmental initiative, The Earthshot Prize. In a statement on the organization’s website, Knauf expressed his excitement about collaborating with the talented team and community to further their goal of inspiring hopeful action for the planet.
He was promoted almost seven years after he raised concerns about Meghan Markle’s behavior, claiming she bullied two personal assistants and tried to discredit another staff member. Representatives for the Sussexes rejected these claims, telling The Times that the accusations were part of a deliberate effort to spread false and damaging information.
Buckingham Palace looked into the claims, but the investigation concluded in 2022 with no public announcement of the results.

Graham Craker, a former bodyguard to Prince Harry and Prince William, passed away in April at the age of 77.
Craker was with Princes William and Harry when they found out their mother, Princess Diana, had passed away, and he was present at her funeral.
In 2017, Craker told The New York Post that he saw Prince William acknowledge him during the procession. Craker had been standing near the back of the hearse, and he nodded to the Prince, who seemed reassured that Craker was with his mother during her final journey.

Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, reached a legal settlement with News Group Newspapers – the publisher of both The Sun and the now-closed News of the World – on January 22nd. He had sued the company in 2019, claiming their journalists and investigators illegally obtained information about the royal family.
According to NBC News, the agreement involved the company paying a significant amount in damages and offering a complete and sincere apology to Prince Harry. They also publicly acknowledged the widespread and harmful media coverage that invaded both his privacy and the privacy of his mother, Princess Diana.

On January 14th, The Princess of Wales shared the wonderful news that her cancer treatment has been successful and she is now in remission.
I seriously couldn’t breathe when I saw her post! She said she’s in remission, which is amazing, and she’s staying focused on getting better. But what really got to me was when she said it takes time to adjust to a ‘new normal’ after a cancer diagnosis. Like, she gets it. Anyone who’s been through something like that knows exactly what she means, and it just feels so real and honest. I’m just so happy for her and sending all the good vibes for her recovery!
She added that she was excited about the year ahead and optimistic about what it would bring.

Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, is grieving the loss of her rescue beagle, a dog she adopted in 2015, before she met Prince Harry.
Okay, so she posted on Instagram January 7th, and honestly, it completely wrecked me. She said she’s been crying so much, like, a never-ending stream of tears. She described it perfectly – those tears where you just stand under the shower, desperately hoping the water will wash away the pain, or at least make it seem like it’s not there. But she admitted, it doesn’t really work, and she’s… okay with that. It’s just… ugh, it’s so raw and real, and I feel everything she’s feeling. It’s beautiful and heartbreaking all at once.
Meghan fondly remembered her beloved Guy, saying, “Thank you for always loving me so completely. You brought so much joy to my life.”

Meghan Markle, known for her role in the TV show Suits, launched a new Instagram account on January 1st. She had previously closed her personal social media accounts just before marrying Prince Harry in 2018.
I was so excited to hear Meghan Markle is launching a new series on Netflix called With Love, Meghan! From what I understand, it’s a really fresh take on lifestyle shows – think useful tips and advice, but also really open and honest chats with both familiar and new faces. It sounds like the perfect blend of practical and personal, and I can’t wait to tune in!
