Actress Sara Tomko from the series “Resident Alien,” has hinted that a potential film might pick up the storyline after the show concludes with Season 4. During their appearance at Comic-Con, Tomko, along with Alan Tudyk and showrunner Chris Sheridan, subtly discussed potential continuations while Sheridan admitted that he wrote the final season with the understanding it would likely be the last.

Showrunner Chris Sheridan shared with TV Insider that he had a feeling Season 4 would be the last instalment. He explained, “I was aware going into production that this might be our final season.” This knowledge, he said, fueled his creativity because it allowed him to focus on resolving ongoing storylines and working towards an ending. Sheridan also hinted that the finale, set to air on August 8, 2025, is likely his favorite episode of the entire series.
The show’s termination occurred even though it received overwhelmingly positive reviews, boasting a 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. At San Diego Comic-Con, actor Alan Tudyk (playing Harry Vanderspeigle) stated, “It’s not anyone’s fault…our ratings are higher than they’ve ever been. It’s just the way the industry is functioning these days. There isn’t enough money.” Alice Wetterlund also commented, “We’re not being canceled for typical reasons…people are still discovering our show even today.
In January 2021, the show “Resident Alien” debuted on Syfy. Later, it also aired its final season on USA Network. This series is inspired by a comic written by Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse. The story centers around Harry, an extraterrestrial who assumes a human form to carry out a mission to annihilate Earth. However, after developing relationships in a Colorado town, he starts to question his instructions.
Fresh installments of Season 4 will be aired every Friday at 11 pm Eastern Time, culminating in the final episode on August 8th. For those who missed earlier episodes, you can catch up by streaming them on Peacock.
