How Selena Gomez & Benny Blanco Celebrated First Married Thanksgiving

Just two months after marrying Benny Blanco in a small ceremony in Santa Barbara, the former Disney Channel star shared how they celebrated their first Thanksgiving as husband and wife.

Selena, 33, shared a photo on her Instagram Story on November 27th showing beautifully decorated outdoor dining tables. The photo captured her family getting ready to have dinner in the backyard during the warm, golden light of the evening.

The Only Murders in the Building star shared a Thanksgiving message with her fans, writing, “So grateful for all of you today! Happy Thanksgiving.”

Selena and Benny, 37, looked cozy and affectionate as they sat by an outdoor fireplace. She wrapped her arms around him and rested her legs on his lap, while he held her hand and beamed.

This holiday marks another special moment for the couple, continuing the joyful journey they began with their engagement in December and celebrated with their first public appearance together at the 2025 Emmys.

Selena described her marriage as a dream during a November 13th interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music. While acknowledging that all relationships have their ups and downs, she said he’s the most wonderful person to navigate life with.

That close relationship is what motivated Selena Gomez to create her recent album, I Said I Love You First. The album, a project she worked on with Benny, led to their first Grammy nomination as a couple for their song “Bluest Flame” earlier this month.

Selena explained to Rolling Stone in March that the project is a blend of both her and her partner’s personal experiences. She said the songs have deeply personal meanings for them, and a single song could hold two different interpretations. She described the result as ‘really cute’.

But while the songs were collaborative, the album’s title was a little more one-sided.

“Guilty as charged,” Selena quipped. “I said ‘I love you’ first.”
