Tia Mowry’s secret to finding love is all in the mindset.
Oh my gosh, you guys, Tisha Campbell is finally happy! It’s been three years since her split from Cory Hardrict, and she just shared she’s in a new relationship! But the best part? She says it only happened after she really focused on herself and did the work to become her best self. It’s so amazing to see her thriving and finding love again, and honestly, she deserves all the happiness in the world!
In a recent interview with People magazine, Tia shared that she’s spent a long time in solitude. She explained that this time allowed her to discover who she truly is, what she wants from life, and what she needs to be happy. She believes she actively created this positive change in her life.
And once she was ready to pursue love again, she put those feelings out into the universe.
Tia, who shares children Cree, 14, and Cairo, 7, with Cory, explained that she believes in the power of positive self-talk and visualization. She recently made a conscious effort to stop focusing on the negative aspects of dating, as it was something she found easy to do.
I realized that constantly focusing on the negative would only reinforce those thoughts in my brain, based on what I know about how the brain works. So, I decided to start focusing on positive things, believing that would eventually lead to positive outcomes. And honestly, I was also learning to be comfortable with being alone.

Earlier this month, Tia hinted at a new relationship, but said she plans to keep it private and off social media for the time being.
Tia shared with Nathan Lately in an interview on March 12th that she’s in love, but she’s choosing to keep the details private for now.

Okay, so everyone’s been giving Tia Mowry some flak for calling herself a ‘single mom,’ and honestly, it’s frustrating me! She and Cory Hardrict finalized their divorce last year, but they’re still great co-parents to Cree and Cairo, her amazing kids. She posted the sweetest picture on Instagram with them, and explained everything. She said family doesn’t have to look a certain way to be full of love, and that’s SO true! She clarified that ‘single mom’ doesn’t always mean doing everything completely alone – and she gets that can be incredibly hard. But for her, right now, it means she’s the only parent handling things day-to-day. She’s literally holding down the fort for everyone, and it’s important to acknowledge that! It’s like, she’s single in her household, and that’s okay to say! I just want everyone to understand where she’s coming from.

Following her divorce from Cory Hardrict in April 2023, actress Tia Mowry began to reflect on her life as a single woman. On the premiere of her reality show, Tia Mowry: My Next Act, which launched in October 2024, she explained that having grown up with a twin sister, Tamera Mowry, she immediately entered a 22-year relationship with Cory. She shared that she had never truly been alone. Tia and Cory first met in 1999 while filming the movie Hollywood Horror. Their relationship began as a friendship, but eventually blossomed into romance, with Tia describing Cory as her “first everything.” She revealed on her We TV series that she met Cory when she was 20 years old and lost her virginity at 25, adding, “And then we got married!”

Tia and Cory got married in 2008 and have two children: a son named Cree, born in 2011, and a daughter named Cairo, born in 2018.
In 2022, Tia and Cory separated. Though Tia initially stated “irreconcilable differences” as the cause for their divorce, she later explained when she realized her marriage was finished.
Tia Mowry realized she was prioritizing everyone else’s well-being over her own, and that’s when she started focusing on her happiness. She explained on Today in November 2022 that women often focus on making sure their children, friends, and family are okay, but self-love is crucial. Once you begin to value and love yourself, it can be a transformative, though challenging, process. Ultimately, she believes it’s incredibly rewarding.
After acknowledging the end of her marriage, Tia also wanted to be honest with the public.
In her show, Tia Mowry: My Next Act, she shared that she was simply tired of pretending everything was perfect when it wasn’t and wanted to live authentically.

Tia also thought about how the divorce would impact her children, Cree and Cairo. In an interview with HelloBeautiful, she explained that her decision was partly for them, wanting them to see her living authentically. She believes it’s a valuable lesson, as it was an incredibly difficult choice. She hopes it will show them that even when things are hard, she can persevere and follow her own path, and that they’ll be inspired to do the same – to live truthfully and pursue their own dreams.
She continued, explaining that she hoped her children would live authentically. “The greatest gift I can give them,” she said, “is the freedom to define their own lives, not to live up to my expectations or anyone else’s. I want them to understand that it’s okay to struggle sometimes, to pursue what makes them happy, and to be true to themselves.”

Though Tia and Tamera Mowry have been beloved on television for years, they aren’t currently as close as they once were. Tia recently shared that going through her divorce has been difficult, and she misses having her sister to lean on. “It’s times like these when I wish Tamera and I were still close enough that I could just call her,” she said. “But that’s not the case right now.”
Tia explained that she and her sister have grown apart due to living separate lives – different cities, families, and personal goals. While they remain close emotionally, a source clarified that Tia’s initial comments were about the distance between them, as Tamera lives in Napa and Tia in Los Angeles. Tia later expanded on this, explaining that she meant they don’t see each other as often as they used to, which is both a natural part of life and sometimes difficult.

Tamera Mowry-Housley was surprised to learn about her sister Tia’s return to reality television just like everyone else. She told Entertainment Tonight in May 2024 that she found out when the news was announced to the public. Tamera also mentioned that Tia didn’t ask her to make a cameo on the new series, which she took to mean she wasn’t wanted. However, Tamera said she respects Tia’s decision to keep the show focused on her own story. Tia, speaking with the Associated Press in October 2024, explained that it’s perfectly normal not to share every detail of your life with everyone, and that her not telling Tamera about the show wasn’t a big deal. She emphasized that they are both living their own lives and don’t need to share everything with each other.

Tia and Tamera have openly discussed the challenges in their relationship. Years ago, during their reality show Tia & Tamera (which aired from 2011 to 2013), they even went to counseling to improve how they talked to each other. Tamera explained in a 2019 episode of The Real that their different personalities made communication difficult. She described herself as sensitive, while her sister is more assertive and self-sufficient. They needed to find a way to communicate positively and respectfully.

Tamera Mowry grew up constantly being compared to her twin sister, Tia. She explained in a January 2024 video that it was natural for people to look for differences between them – things like facial features or personality traits. While she initially didn’t mind, these comparisons eventually became hurtful. “As I got older, I started to take it personally, and it became toxic,” she said, noting that many of these comparisons are still available online. Fortunately, her mother shared a valuable piece of advice: “Comparison is the thief of joy.” Tamera realized that even though they’re twins, they are both unique individuals with different talents, and that’s perfectly okay.

Similar to Tia sharing details about her relationship with Cory, Tamera has also let fans in on her life with husband Adam Housley. She’s described him as the love of her life, but acknowledges that, like all couples, they go through good times and challenges.
Tamera, who married Adam in 2011, recently told TopMob News in May 2024, “Thirteen years have flown by!” She added that while their marriage isn’t perfect, she still deeply cares for him as a person, and they continue to grow closer as a couple. They also make a point of regularly checking in with each other.
Tamera, who shares her children Aden and Ariah with Adam, suggests regularly checking in with your partner. She advises simply asking, ‘Are you happy?’ and ‘What can we do to stay happy together?’ She explains that she doesn’t just want a long marriage, but a happy one.

Tamera and Adam Mowry-Housley are still keeping the romance alive after over ten years of marriage. In a 2022 appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Tamera explained that setting sexual goals is key to a happy marriage, and she believes women shouldn’t be afraid to talk about what they want. In her memoir, You Should Sit Down for This, she even shared a list of adventurous locations where she’d like to be intimate – from a skyscraper rooftop to inside every room of her house, and even in a car during a rainstorm, according to Today.
Honestly, I’ve always admired her for wanting to break down those old, limiting ideas about what women ‘should’ be like. She always says it so clearly: take control of your relationship, embrace your sexuality, and enjoy it! She believes – and I totally agree – that just because you’ve been with someone for a long time doesn’t mean the spark has to fade. It’s about owning your happiness, no matter how long you’ve been married.

Tamera Mowry-Housley has opened up about her experience on The Real, describing her first four years as a very difficult time. In her memoir, she shared that the demanding schedule, constant travel, and public attention caused her significant anxiety and led to unhealthy coping mechanisms. Despite these challenges, she also cherishes her seven years on the show and the connections she made. When she announced her departure in 2020, she highlighted the lasting friendships and impactful interviews she had, and expressed pride in the show’s accomplishments, including two NAACP Image Awards and a Daytime Emmy.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following the buzz around ’90s reboots, and a lot of people have been asking about Sister, Sister. While my sister and I have definitely been trying to make a revival happen for a few months now, it’s proven more challenging than we initially thought – there’s only so much we can do! I know some fans are still hoping, but I want to be upfront: as of May 2024, a Sister, Sister reboot isn’t going to happen. We’ve explored the possibilities, and unfortunately, it’s just not the right time.
