How to Complete All 2024 Gift of Giving Disney Dreamlight Valley Tasks

As a seasoned Dreamlight Valley enthusiast with more years in this magical valley than I care to admit, let me tell you that annual holiday events are always a thrill, but they can also be a tad confusing! The 2024 Gift of Giving event is no exception, and here’s why.

As exciting as annual holiday events are in Disney Dreamlight Valley, they don’t come without a bit of confusion. This years Gift of Giving event is no exception, bringing players a snowman-crafting puzzle to solve and the same old questions about where to find and complete special seasonal Dreamlight Duties to earn coveted Dreamlight and the sense of a job well done. For players looking to find the seasonal event task list or needing a bit of help to uncode just how to complete them, here’s a little help.

For the year 2024, the “The Gift of Giving” event spans from December 18th until December 31st, offering players about a fortnight to complete their holiday chores and collect the corresponding perks. However, before diving into these tasks, enthusiasts of Disney Dreamlight Valley must first locate the task list and decipher exactly what each job in Dreamlight Valley requires them to accomplish – not always an easy nut to crack.

During the “Season of Giving,” you can find exclusive Dreamlight Duty tasks related to the festivities in the Dreamlight section of your menu, under the Village tab. These special event tasks are marked with a present symbol, making them distinguishable from other seasonal assignments. Some tasks, like “Even Fish Are Festive!”, will continue progress from previous years. To keep track of your progress during this year’s event, simply check out the progress tracker for each specific duty.

As a gaming enthusiast diving into Disney Dreamlight Valley’s 2024 Gift of Giving seasonal tasks, I’m here to guide you through each one. Here’s how to finish them, the goodies you’ll get, and why it’s such a treat for those celebrating their first holiday in the Valley:

  • A Home for the Holidays – Decorate your house with 5 festive-themed crafted items to earn a Winter Carpet decor item
  • Cookie Taste Test – Eat 3 different cookie recipes to earn Festive Candy Ears
  • Even Fish Are Festive! – Catch all 5 Festive Fish to receive a Santa hat avatar item
  • Do You Wanna Craft a Snowman? – Craft a Snowman at the crafting station, then place it in the Valley to earn Festive Candy Ears with Bow avatar item

As I delve into my assigned tasks, I find myself constantly checking my progress using the ‘Track Duty’ feature – it keeps me updated in real-time and helps me stay focused!

How to Build the New Snowman in Disney Dreamlight Valley

In addition to the regular Dreamlight Duties this year, there’s an exciting new challenge! Players can discover a hidden recipe for making a unique kind of snowman by locating a red chest scattered around the Plaza. The location of the chest is random, so the spot where it appears for one player may not be the same for another.

Upon unlocking the box, engage with the emerging Memory to discover the necessary recipe, followed by collecting these required resources:

Set A

  • 50 Snowballs

Set B

  • 4 Hardwood
  • 18 Dandelion
  • 13 Fabric

Set C

  • 10 Green Passion Lillies
  • 15 Fabric
  • 1 Carrot

Crafting a recipe for the snowman in the Mad Hatter outfit isn’t as simple as just visiting your workbench. Instead, players must collect necessary materials and then take these groups to Frosted Heights. At this location, they should find a giant snowball and interact with it. This process needs to be repeated three times to successfully craft the snowman in its Mad Hatter attire.

Although there isn’t a designated Dreamlight Duty for finishing this hidden mission, gamers can put up the newly-acquired snowman to fulfill the “Let’s Make a Snowman!” objective instead.
