To unlock new areas and keep playing Skate 4, you’ll need to finish Goals within each Challenge. It sounds easy, but the game doesn’t always clearly explain *what* you need to do! The instructions can be confusing, using strange symbols alongside the text. This guide will break down exactly what you need to do to open up more of the game.
How to Complete Challenge Goals and Unlock Zones | Skate 4
Let’s start with the fundamentals. When the game asks you to “Complete Challenge Goals,” it’s important to notice the symbols it displays. For instance, unlocking Gullcrest Village requires meeting conditions shown with a yellow hexagon and a group of people icon. You’ll also see these same symbols in missions like “Stop, Quick Drop, and Roll.”
You can earn progress towards unlocking rewards just by completing regular Goals, whether you play solo or with friends, in any Challenge. You’ll find these Goals listed when you look at a Challenge on your map, and they’re also displayed at the top left of your screen while you’re in a challenge.
Most challenges usually have three or four main goals, plus one goal that requires teamwork. These goals typically involve getting everyone involved in a stunt, achieving certain scores, or successfully completing specific tricks.
The great thing is, you don’t have to finish the entire Challenge to make progress. Completing the individual Goals within it is what matters! If a Goal seems too difficult, you can move on – everything you complete counts toward your overall progress, so there’s no need to keep retrying the same one.
Just a heads-up that this game is still in development as an Early Access title. Many players are currently experiencing an issue where their in-game goals aren’t being recorded correctly, preventing them from unlocking content. Unfortunately, there’s nothing players can do to fix this on their end, so we’re hoping the developers release a patch soon.
Basically, to unlock new areas in Skate 4, all you have to do is play through the Challenges and finish the objectives within them. It’s really that straightforward!
