Silent Hill f first boss guide: How to defeat the Sakuko-like entity

To beat the first boss in Silent Hill, which looks similar to Sakuko, you’ll need to avoid its attacks and strike it from the rear.
This enemy’s attacks can be tricky, sometimes happening in multiple stages. For example, its lunge attack seems to end after two swings, but a quick third lunge often follows, catching players off guard if they don’t watch closely.
It’s best to stay far enough away, because if you get too close, the creature will grab Hinako and bite her face.
This enemy can also attack from a distance, so be sure to watch out for its ranged attacks.
To inflict the most damage, attack when the edges of the enemy start to glow with color. If you time it correctly, you’ll hear a gong sound and the attack animation will briefly pause – this indicates a critical hit.
Pay attention to how much energy you have left, and make sure you don’t exhaust yourself. You’ll need enough stamina to create some space between Hinako and the monster.
Sometimes, when damaged, the Sakuko-like creature vanishes into the fog, briefly plunging the area into darkness. If you’re using headphones or surround sound, you can usually hear where it reappears. Otherwise, it often ends up behind you, and you can find it by looking for the glow of its floating, halo-shaped crown in the dark.
As this happens, golden particles will be drawn into the creature’s mouth, accompanied by a whistling wind and increasingly loud, distorted static. It’s important to stop this process, because if you don’t, your Sanity will decrease significantly. This also provides a chance to attack while the creature is briefly vulnerable.
If you run out of Sanity, attacks that target your mind will start reducing your health instead.
