But I’ve spent a lot of time collecting them, and I can share some tips to make the process easier and less frustrating.
Why Voidhearts Are Worth the Grind
Voidhearts are a rare resource you get by defeating void creatures. These creatures appear throughout the game’s different areas, especially at night. If you want to improve your weapons and prepare for tougher fights, you’ll need Voidhearts, so learning how to find them quickly is important.
Where to Hunt Them (Voidheart Location)
Many people believe Voidhearts only appear in one specific area, but that’s not true! While they can be found anywhere, the open snow biome (not the snowcap mountains) is where you’ll see them most often. You’ll find lots of flying creatures with glowing eyes there, and they frequently appear with other Void enemies. Because they stand out against the white snow, they’re much easier to target than in darker, more cluttered areas.
The desert is another common place to find these creatures, and Void Crawlers can occasionally drop useful items, too. Really, you can find them anywhere, so it’s a good idea to be ready to explore and battle various void creatures.
Understanding Drop Rates
Just a heads-up: Voidhearts are pretty rare. You might have to defeat a lot of void creatures to get even a few. Your best chance is fighting the tougher enemies like Void Spawn and Void Eyes, but even the smaller Void Larvas have a chance of dropping one – I actually got my first one from a larva!
Farming resources is a key part of the game. Make sure to bring food, good weapons, and be prepared to spend some time gathering supplies. Having at least iron armor will greatly improve your chances of surviving the nighttime threats.
Spotting Void Enemies
The best way to spot void creatures is by looking for their bright, glowing eyes. They’re especially easy to see at night, which makes nighttime hunting the most effective approach. Here’s what you might find, from the weakest to the strongest:
Creatures like the Void Larva, Void Crawler, Void Spectre, Void Spawn, and the powerful Void Eye all have a chance to drop Voidhearts. You’re more likely to get one from the creatures higher up on that list.
My Personal Voidheart Farming Tips
Moving around a lot and concentrating on areas with lots of enemies makes collecting Voidhearts much easier. Snowy areas are full of flying creatures, so you can quickly get kills without traveling far. Desert areas offer more diverse enemies, like the Crawlers, which occasionally drop a helpful heart. Stay alert, be patient, and you’ll gradually build up your collection of Voidhearts.
