In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you won’t be exploring the world by yourself – you’ll have a loyal dog companion named Mutt. Early on, the game asks you to get Mutt to stop barking at a specific person, and it can be surprisingly tricky to work out how to do it.
How to get Mutt to stop barking in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Okay, so if Mutt starts barking and won’t quit, you gotta hit the Heel command. That means holding down X on your keyboard, Y if you’re on Xbox, or Triangle on PlayStation. It’ll call him back to you and get him to chill out for a bit. I first had to do this during the Easy Riders mission when he wouldn’t stop barking at someone!
If you’re trying to speak with Hans, he’ll ask you to quiet the dog first. Simply press the button on your device to call Mutt to heel. Mutt is a wonderful companion, but he sometimes gets noisy, so just call him to heel again if you need him to be quiet.
