Okay, so Clay in Pokémon Pokopia is kinda weird. It’s like the game treats it as two different things when really it’s just the same stuff used for making bricks. It’s a little confusing, honestly!
You can find Clay in block form in some Pokémon games. When you break those blocks, they turn into Squishy Clay, which is usually what you need for building and completing early tasks.
You can find clay early on near the beginning of Pokopia, but you’ll discover much better places to farm it as you progress.
Here is exactly how to find Squishy Clay and use it to make bricks in Pokémon Pokopia.
How to get Clay in Pokémon Pokopia

After it starts raining in the Withered Wasteland, you can find Squishy Clay by returning to the cave where you first encountered Onix. You’ll also be able to find more of it in the Bleak Bleach biome.
Inside Onix’s cave, you can break Clay blocks using Rock Smash, and this will give you Squishy Clay.
In Pokopia, this item can be a little confusing. It appears as regular Clay when you see it as a block, but transforms into Squishy Claw once you break it and pick it up.

Once you reach ‘Great’ Trainer level and meet Kyogre, Bleak Beach is the best place to collect Squishy Clay. You’ll find a lot more Clay blocks there compared to other locations.
You can find extra Squishy Clay in Pokémon Pokopia by visiting Ocean Dream Island. However, you’ll first need to get the Pikachu Poke Doll, which you can randomly find in Bleak Bleach.
How to turn Clay into Brick in Pokémon Pokopia

If you have Squishy Clay, you can turn it into Bricks by giving it to a Fire-type Pokémon. Simply talk to a Pokémon like Charmander, have it examine the Squishy Clay, choose the option to make Bricks, and then specify how many you need.
Squishy Clay breaks down into two Bricks each, making it much simpler to collect enough materials for crafting things like Stone Fireplaces, Brick Steps, and Brick Walls, especially if you establish an efficient way to gather it.
