Veemon is a popular Digimon character. If you’re a fan, you might be curious about when you can add him to your team in Digimon Story Time Stranger. The good news is you won’t have to wait too long! This guide will show you exactly when and how to recruit Veemon. It’s easier than you think!
Unlocking Veemon
Digivolution works a little differently in this game than it did in Digimon: Cyber Sleuths. You don’t need to travel to a specific location to evolve your Digimon anymore; you can do it at any time when you’re not in a battle.
As a big Digimon fan, I’ve learned that some Digimon evolutions are locked until you get to a specific part of the game’s story. It’s not just random – a lot of them won’t become available until you hit a certain rank or finish a particular mission. So, basically, just playing through the story naturally is the best way to unlock everything. For example, I found out that Veemon is locked until you reach a specific point in the story, which was a little frustrating, but also cool!
In Digimon Story Time Stranger, you’ll find a Punimon immediately after your fight with MetalGreymon. Defeating it allows you to Digivolve the Punimon into a Tsunomon. Here’s what you need to do it:
- Agent Rank 1 or higher
- 200 attack or greater

Once you have both requirements, you can then Digivolve the Punimon into a Tsunomon.
After you get your Tsunomon, it will Digivolve into a Veemon. You’ll need to train and level up your Tsunomon until it fulfills these conditions:
- Agent Rank 1 or higher
- 280 attack or greater
- 170 speed or greater
After your Tsunomon fulfills all the necessary conditions through training, it will be able to Digivolve into a Veemon. It’s worth noting that reaching these requirements can sometimes take more levels compared to other Digimon.

Now, you should be able to get the popular Veemon. Unlocking it is fairly quick and only requires you to train the first two forms of other Digimon. Want to add another beloved character to your team? Take a look at our guide on how to unlock BlackGatomon. It’s a little harder to get than Veemon, but it can still be a valuable addition to your Digimon. It’s worth the effort!
You have the option to get Veemon sooner rather than later and then concentrate on leveling him up. Getting Veemon early will give you a strong advantage as you continue your journey through the thrilling story of Time Stranger.
