How to pick up and move grass and flowers in Pokémon Pokopia explained

At the beginning of Pokémon Pokopia, the landscape is messy and full of random objects like grass and flowers.

It’s simple to collect items like decorations and supplies, but things like grass and flowers are harder to get.

If you’ve planted something and realize it’s not in the best spot, how can you relocate it without having to dig it up and replant?

The answer, thankfully, is simple, and we’ll take you through exactly what you need to know.

How to pick up and move grass and flowers in Pokémon Pokopia explained

To collect items like grass and flowers in Pokopia, you’ll first need to learn the Rototiller move.

Once you’ve learned Rock Smash, you can teach this move to your Drilbur. Head northeast from the Pokémon Center, and you’ll find a wall you can break on your right.

Break the rocks and continue forward to discover an old garden and riverside spot. You’ll meet a Drilbur who wants your help cleaning up its home.

If you help Drilbur, you’ll learn the move Rototiller. This lets you break up ground so you can plant crops, like Beans.

However, we’re really focusing on another feature. Find some grass or flowers, and move your cursor so the marker appears above them.

Now, press and hold the zR button to use Rototiller, and you’ll pick the patch up.

So, once you’ve got the item, just walk over to where you want to put it down and hit the A button. Seriously, that’s it! Easy peasy.

This tool is key to customizing your island and creating the look you want, so we suggest using it early on when you begin playing Pokopia.
