How to raise Humidity in Pokémon Pokopia: Slowpoke’s 100-point yawn

Having trouble getting your Humidity past 71 in Pokémon Pokopia? We can offer some solutions to help you raise it.

At the beginning of the game, you’ll receive the ‘Yawn up a storm!’ request. This asks you to raise the humidity on your island so Slowpoke will yawn and bring the rain.

Increasing humidity is simple at first, but it gets progressively more difficult. Here’s a guide to reaching 100% humidity.

You can increase humidity in a few different ways. Some methods are easy, while others work better – here’s a look at the most common options:

Using Water Gun

The first and simplest way to up the Humidity is to use Water Gun to bring dry tiles back to life.

Go around the nearby area and restore the tiles, grass, and trees. Then, go back to Slowpoke to see if everything is working correctly.

While trying different approaches, it’s a good idea to water more areas as you work – even a small amount can make a difference!

Building new Habitats

Go and find Bulbasaur, as they will have a suggestion to help you out.

Bulbasaur needs a Field of Flowers to be happy, and you can create one using two rows of Wildflowers. You can purchase the seeds for these wildflowers at the PC Shop.

Squirtle might also recommend creating a damp grassy area, like a few patches of grass near a pond. You can find instructions for building that pond later on.

Okay, so after I’ve already watered everything, I’m thinking adding some flowers and grass around the area would be awesome. It’ll help keep things extra humid, which is exactly what we want!

Freeing streams

Throughout the Withered Wasteland, you’ll notice blocks built into the walls that have water slowly leaking from them.

These show blocked waterways. Using Rock Smash on the obstacle will clear it, instantly creating a current and revitalizing the surrounding area.

Squirtle can help you locate the first Water Stone, which is near a pond to the east of where you begin. You can often find others by searching for trenches or channels dug into the ground – there’s even a fountain with one already waiting for you in the far north of the starting area.

You can break rocks with Rock Smash to reach a small area northeast of the Pokémon Center. There, you’ll find another hidden spring and can encounter Drilbur.

Using Fountains

I’ve discovered you can actually add more of those Fountains – like the one right at the beginning of the map – to really boost the Humidity! It’s a great way to get things nice and damp if you’re trying to create a certain environment.

Rain Dance Party

Eventually, once you’ve progressed the Humidity enough, Squirtly will suggest a Rain Dance Party.

Collect some Leppa Berries by headbutting trees, and craft a Wooden Plate using 1x Lumber.

Okay, so I found a wall and put down the Wooden Plate. Then, I topped it with a Leppa Berry. After that, I placed the Castform Dolls on either side of the plate – one on the left and one on the right. It’s a bit of a setup, but hopefully it works!

Last, find Squirtle to finish the Rain Dance, and then Slowpoke will finally do their amazing 100-point yawn!
