The new season of Strictly Come Dancing is here, featuring a fantastic lineup of celebrities who are prepared to compete and wow both the viewers and the judges with their dance skills.
This year’s show features celebrities like Vicky Pattison and Stefan Dennis, and recently Amber Davies joined the cast. She’s replacing Dani Dyer, who unfortunately had to pull out due to an injury.
Amber described the last 24 hours as unbelievable, saying it’s always been a dream to be on Strictly, as she’s watched the show with her family since childhood.
I’m going to try my best, and I’m wishing Dani a quick recovery. I hope I can make her proud.
Amber and fourteen other celebrities will be performing on the first live show, but they won’t be subject to the public vote.
If you’re planning to vote next week and want to be fully informed, keep reading to find out everything you need to know.
How to vote online for Strictly Come Dancing
Once voting begins, you can find the poll right at the top of the Strictly homepage.
You can cast your vote online at the Strictly homepage, or by using the QR code found on their website – it will also appear on your screen during the show. You can vote using any device, like a phone, tablet, or computer.
Okay, so to cast your vote, you’ll need to be logged into your BBC account. Thankfully, if you voted last year on the same computer or phone, you’re probably already signed in and good to go! It saves a bit of hassle, which is nice when you just want to get to the voting.
But if you have never voted before, you will need to register for a BBC account in order to vote.
Once the vote is open, the couples will be listed in alphabetical order.
To vote for your favorite pair, simply click the plus sign next to their name. A ‘1’ will appear in the box to confirm your vote.
After you’ve used all your votes, the plus button will no longer work. If you’re satisfied with how you’ve voted, click the ‘Submit X votes’ button at the bottom of the page. Keep in mind that once you submit, you won’t be able to make any changes.

When will the vote open?
Voting for the 2025 season hasn’t started yet. However, in the past, voting has opened after each couple performs, so watch for announcements!
Is it free to vote online for Strictly?
Voting online is free for Strictly Come Dancing 2025.
Can you vote by phone?
The BBC has stopped using premium-rate phone lines for voting. They confirmed this earlier this month, with the Eurovision Song Contest being the final program to eliminate the system.
Strictly Come Dancing continues on BBC One and iPlayer on Saturday 27th September.
