How to watch Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning – is it streaming?

Starting on Monday, 18th August, you’ll have the chance to own “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning” digitally. Stream it on Prime Video and Sky Store among other platforms. If you want to get a head start, you can even pre-order it on Prime Video now.

Fans will then be able to rent the film on digital platforms starting from Monday 15th September.

Subsequently, it’s been announced that the physical copies of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning will hit the shelves on October 13th, and they’re now available for pre-order!

The new Mission: Impossible movie premiered at UK theaters on May 21st, 2025, about two years following the previous installment, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning. If you haven’t had a chance to catch it yet on the big screen, fear not! It’s still being shown in certain theaters, albeit with fewer screenings than during the summer’s peak.

What happens in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning?

Originally named Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two, this upcoming movie serves as a continuation from the 2023 release of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning (Part One). The narrative unfolds as Tom Cruise’s character, Ethan Hunt, embarks on a mission to apprehend a malicious AI called “the Entity”.

For the duration of the almost three hours, viewers encounter a variety of characters and items connected to Ethan Hunt’s history. Numerous references to earlier Mission: Impossible films abound like welcoming guests.

The movie unfolds in multiple settings: part of it takes place in London, another portion occurs in America, and yet another section revolves around a Cold War-era military base situated on an island smack dab in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Characters from all over the world are involved in a mission to thwart the Entity, a character from Ethan Hunt’s past who is pursuing him relentlessly.

In essence, The Final Reckoning presents an opportunity for Tom Cruise to display the culmination of the franchise he’s tirelessly built over almost three decades, and boy, does it deliver excitement!
