It’s normal for new movies to get mixed reviews, but Emerald Fennell’s recent film has sparked an unusually strong and divided response from critics.
Reviews for the movie are now available, and they’re very mixed – some people love it, others hate it. This fits with the director’s pattern of making films that always get strong reactions.
These strongly contrasting opinions are sure to build even more excitement for the movie, which was already expected to be very successful at the box office.
Featuring stars Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi as Cathy and Heathcliff, beautiful visuals created by cinematographer Linus Sandgren and director Emerald Fennell, and an original soundtrack by Charli xcx, the film is packed with exciting features.
While some might disagree with how the writer and director adapted Emily Brontë’s novel, others may find this film inspires them to read the original gothic story for the first time.
Wondering how to watch the new movie? Here’s everything you need to know about the release of Wuthering Heights.

How to watch Wuthering Heights – is it streaming?
Okay, so I just checked, and unfortunately, it doesn’t look like “Wuthering Heights” is coming to streaming anytime soon. It’s getting released only in theaters, which means if I want to see it, I’ll actually have to go to the cinema! It’s a bit disappointing, but I guess that’s how they’re doing things for now.
You’ll have plenty of chances to see the movie! It’s a big release and will be showing in almost every cinema nationwide starting Friday, February 13th. Just check your local cinema’s listings for showtimes. We expect it to be especially popular over Valentine’s Day weekend!
Yes, the movie will eventually be available on a streaming service, but it might take a little while.
When will Wuthering Heights be released on streaming?
Like other Warner Bros. movies, this film will eventually be available to stream on HBO Max in the US. With HBO Max launching in the UK next month as part of a Sky and NOW package, it’s expected to become available here as well.
Okay, so while HBO Max hasn’t announced an exact date just yet, if Warner Bros. follows their usual pattern – and they typically do – I’m predicting we’ll be able to stream this film around late April or early May. I’ll definitely let you know as soon as I hear anything more official, but that feels like a pretty safe bet right now.
