How WNBA’s Angel Reese “Manifested” Becoming a Victoria’s Secret Angel

Angel Reese saw her Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show debut written in the sky. 

Before the Chicago Sky player stepped onto the stage for the famous show, she revealed she’d been dreaming about this opportunity for a long time.

In a recent interview with TopMob News, the 23-year-old model explained she had predicted this moment. She revealed she’d posted on social media last year that she would become a Victoria’s Secret model, and remarkably, it came true in less than a year.

Angel is thrilled to be working with Victoria’s Secret show legends like Adriana Lima, Lily Aldridge, and Gigi Hadid, and she always believed she was capable of achieving this dream.

I’m just grateful that when I express myself, I know things will work out. Maybe not exactly when I expect them to, but when the time is right. This is my moment, my time, and I’m ready to make the most of it.

You know, I truly believe you can be absolutely anything you set your mind to. We’re not limited to just one path! I see it in my own life – I’m an athlete, I run my own businesses, I’m a podcast host, and honestly, I embrace all sides of myself. It’s about being fully multidimensional and owning every facet of who you are – a little bit of everything, if you will! Sometimes, I even feel like a real-life Barbie – capable of doing it all.

Just because Angel believes she’ll succeed as a model doesn’t diminish how proud she is of everything she’s already achieved.

She was overjoyed. “I’m so thrilled to be here,” she said. “It’s amazing to be among so many incredible and inspiring women, and to be in the same room as the world’s top models. I’m incredibly grateful for this moment and I’m going to savor every second.”

Now that she has made it into the space, she’s hoping to inspire other women to do the same.

I want everyone to know they have the power to become *whoever* they dream of being. It’s not always easy – you *will* face rejection. Expect to hear ‘no’ countless times. Naturally, Angel is also doing it for her own angel, mom Angel Webb Reese. 

Angel playfully suggested his daughter wouldn’t normally be comfortable walking out in just a bra and underwear, but he anticipates she’ll be emotional seeing her daughter all dressed up tonight, and likely shed tears of joy.
