Hunter Doohan Talks Evil Dead Burn, Gives Wednesday Season 3 Update

Hunter Doohan has shared some details about his work on the new movie, Evil Dead Burn, and hinted at what’s coming in Wednesday Season 3.

What did Hunter Doohan say about Evil Dead Burn and Wednesday Season 3?

In a recent interview with Tyler Treese from ComingSoon, actor Gabriel Doohan discussed the upcoming *Evil Dead Burn*. While he remained tight-lipped about his specific role, he shared how exciting it was to go from watching the *Evil Dead* series as a fan to now being a part of it, alongside co-stars like Souheila Yacoub, Luciane Buchanan, and Tandi Wright.

I first discovered the franchise with the 2013 remake by Fede Alvarez, and I’d also seen *Evil Dead II*. While filming *Wednesday*, someone pointed out a connection between a scene involving ‘Thing’ – the hand – and an earlier film, so I rewatched it. I realized it was a completely different style – very campy and over-the-top. That led me to explore the original films with Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell. When I learned about this new project, I watched everything in the *Evil Dead* series. It’s been great being a fan and then getting to really dive into the world of it. I can’t reveal too much, but I hope audiences will enjoy it. I think our director, Sébastien Vaniček, is the ideal person for this project.

Doohan expressed his gratitude for the opportunities Wednesday has brought him, noting the show has opened many doors. He also shared his relief that Season 3 is coming together much faster than the previous seasons.

“You’re absolutely right, I’m incredibly thankful for *Wednesday*,” Doohan shared. “I love the show and being a part of it – we’re starting season three soon! It’s really opened up a lot of opportunities for me. I honestly don’t think I’d have gotten this film role without the attention *Wednesday* brought. It’s also great to be able to share news about it with the show’s fans – even just sharing the trailer helps get more people to see it, which is wonderful. I’m hoping the fans will enjoy this new project too, even though it’s quite different. I’m just really grateful for everything *Wednesday* has done for me.”

We’re really working hard to get things done, but it’s been a challenge. A strike caused some delays, and we didn’t anticipate such a long gap – almost three years – between seasons. The next season won’t take as long to produce, which shows how much effort goes into each one. It’s a huge project, but we’re committed to speeding up the process.
