Devolver Digital and Heart Machine have revealed that their new 2D action game, Possessor(s), will be released soon. The game is described as visually stylish.
The creators of Hyper Light Drifter and Solar Ash are releasing a new game on PS5 on November 11, 2025.
The latest trailer announces the game’s release date and provides a brief look at its features.
You’re a high school student who joins forces with a strange demon to survive a catastrophic event. Now, you’ll navigate your ruined city and fight in fast-paced battles.

The fighting feels a lot like Super Smash Bros. – you use directions on the controller to create easy combos and can even launch enemies into the air and keep them there until they’re defeated.
Plus, you’ll be able to use all sorts of everyday objects as weapons, like computer mice, hockey sticks, and even electric guitars.
Okay, so playing this game feels a bit like a Metroidvania, which is awesome! As I explore, I’m unlocking new abilities that let me get to previously unreachable areas. I’ve already got a cool grapple hook, a powerful downward attack, and I can even run on walls now – there’s a bunch more to discover, which is really exciting!
The game’s central story revolves around the connection between the player character, Luca, and Rhem, the demon inside her. Along the way, you’ll encounter a diverse cast of characters, many of whom are demons inhabiting everyday objects.
It looks pretty cool, doesn’t it? Here’s hoping it can deliver when it arrives in November.
