Hytale All Ore Locations

I’ve been playing Hytale, and even though it’s still in early access, there’s so much to do! A big part of the game is surviving, which means constantly crafting tools and armor. To do that, you need to find different kinds of ore, but here’s the thing: some ores are way easier to find in certain areas than others. It’s a bit of a treasure hunt!

You’ll need these ores to continue playing the game. This guide will show you the best places to find them all. Let’s jump right in!

All Ore Locations

Right now, Hytale includes just seven different kinds of ores while it’s in early access. The developers plan to add more ores in future updates – for example, Mythril Ore is already referenced in the game, but isn’t available yet.

Remember, ore deposits don’t reappear, so once you’ve collected ore from a spot, you can’t come back and get more later.

Copper Ore Location

Copper ore is the most common ore in the game and can be found almost everywhere, particularly when you’re first starting out. It’s usually close to the surface, so you won’t have to dig very deep to find it.

The Grasslands Biome is where you can find it the most!

Iron Ore Location

In Hytale, digging typically takes you through three main layers: a surface layer, a middle layer, and a layer filled with lava. Below that, you’ll reach bedrock, which marks the lowest point you can dig.

Iron ore can generally be found in the middle layer when you start digging.

The most abundant biome for Iron Ore is the Desert biome.

You can find Mineshafts very commonly in the desert biome, even right on the surface. Using a map will help you locate them easily.

Mineshafts can be dangerous because they’re full of enemies, and the deeper you go, the more there are. It’s best to have good equipment – like copper armor and an iron crossbow – before exploring them if you want to stay alive.

You can find a lot of iron both on the surface and deep underground. Another good source is in caves close to Mineshafts, which is a safer option because it lets you avoid most enemies.

Thorium Ore Locations

Thorium Ore Location #1

This ore is most common in the Desert area, especially around Howling Sands. Look for it near mountains or hills within the Desert – you’ll find more as you climb higher.

You’ll find the most thorium by digging underground in these hilly areas. We suggest starting by searching the hills themselves. If you find thorium there, dig in the ground below – you should find a large amount!

You can also find Thorium in decent amounts in the caves around the hills as well.

Thorium Ore Location #2

You can also find a lot of Thorium ore in the Devastated Lands, a dark, lava-filled island located on the right side of your map.

You’ll find Skeletons in this area, and they drop Thorium Ore when defeated. They’re a good source of Thorium once you’ve gotten further into the game.

Cobalt Ore Location

Cobalt Ore is most common in the Tundra and Snow biomes. You’ll find a lot of it in the hills and caves within those areas.

Just be careful as there are plenty of enemies that you can run into like Yetis while exploring.

Adamantite Ore Location

You can find Adamantite Ore most often in the Devastated Lands or Lava biomes. To mine it, you’ll need at least an Iron Pickaxe.

You can find a good amount of resources on the surface, especially in the purple and maroon areas of the map. Caves also contain resources, but be careful – they can be tricky to explore.

Silver Ore Location

Silver ore is typically harder to find than other types of ore. While it appears in small amounts across many different environments, it’s considered quite rare.

You can usually find Silver Ore in caves within the Desert biome, especially close to mountains. To collect a lot of it, you’ll need to dig deep down, near the lava.

Gold Ore Location

Gold ore is uncommon, and even when discovered, it’s usually in small amounts scattered around. However, a few places are known to be more promising for finding it.

Gold Ore Location #1

You can find gold ore in the mountain areas of the Desert biome. While searching for Thorium Ore in these mountains, keep an eye out for smaller gold deposits as well.

They won’t be as plentiful but you can find a decent amount.

Gold Ore Location #2

Next, explore the mountains or cliffs in the Snow biome. While this area is known for Cobalt, you can also find a significant amount of gold here.

However, you’ll typically find them separated.

Conclusion

This covers everything you need to know about finding ores in Hytale. Keep in mind that players are still discovering new things, so you might find ores in other places too. The game is constantly being updated, so ore locations and even new ores and biomes could be added in the future. Remember to use ores carefully, as they don’t respawn in these areas.
