Hytale Guide – How To Craft The Repair Kit To Repair Tools, Weapons, And Armor

In Hytale, your gear takes damage, and since lasting a long time is key to the game, knowing how to fix your tools, weapons, and armor is really important. It’s not always obvious when and how to best use Repair Kits, though.

This Hytale guide details everything there is to know about crafting and using the Repair Kit.

How To Craft The Repair Kit

The Repair Kit is a bit more advanced to craft than you might think. You’ll need to build both a Tanning Rack and a Furnace first to gather the necessary materials, which are:

  • Linen Scraps x2
  • Iron Ingot x1
  • Light Leather x1

Open your main Workbench and click the ‘Tools’ tab at the top. You’ll find the Repair Kit listed first.

The Repair Kit is a one-time-use item. To use it, put it in your hotbar and right-click. This will open a window showing you all the items in your inventory that can be repaired, along with how much durability each item has left, shown as a percentage.

Using a Repair Kit immediately fixes the item without asking if you’re sure, so double-check before you use it. Each time you repair something, its maximum durability decreases by 10%. Therefore, it’s best to use a Repair Kit only when an item is almost completely broken to get the most out of it.

Since Repair Kit materials are more difficult to find than those needed for most basic items, it’s best to save them for repairing higher-quality tools, weapons, and armor.

Over time, items will wear out and eventually break completely, becoming unusable and impossible to repair. However, you can still break them down for parts using a Salvager’s Workbench, which you can craft at Tier 2.
