Hytale – How to Get Adamantite Gear Fast

In Hytale, adamantite is the best gear available, and it takes significant effort to obtain, even for experienced players.

You can speed up your progress by trying to advance quickly, but it takes a large amount of Adamantite. This ore is currently the hardest to find in the game!

Nonetheless, this guide will help you get Adamantite equipment as quickly as possible.

Getting Started and Important Notes

Before you start crafting Adamantite gear, you’ll first need to build and fully upgrade both an Armorer’s Workbench and a Blacksmith’s Anvil. This takes a significant amount of materials and effort, but it’s a necessary step!

We have a complete guide to upgrading your Workbench, which you can find linked here. It covers everything you need to know about upgrading the Armorer’s Workbench, so be sure to check it out for detailed instructions!

You’ll also need to build a Furnace for smelting ores and a Tanning Rack to turn animal hides into leather. Luckily, you can make both of these using your Workbench.

Putting that aside, I’m only going to explain the essential steps for obtaining Adamantite Gear. This guide focuses on speed, aiming to help you get your best-in-slot equipment as quickly as possible.

Don’t neglect upgrading your gear as you follow this guide. Better equipment is essential for defeating stronger enemies, and you’ll need to defeat some of them to get necessary materials.

With all of that said, though, let’s dive into how to get to Adamantite quickly!

Get An Iron Pickaxe

Before you can do anything else, you’ll need to get an Iron Pickaxe. It’s the least powerful pickaxe needed to mine Adamantite Ore.

When you first begin, your initial aim should be to create a Stone Pickaxe and a Stone Hatchet. You can make these tools by gathering rocks and plants at the start of the game. This will provide you with the necessary Rubble, Plant Fiber, and Sticks.

Next, gather at least 4 logs and 3 stone blocks – any kind will do. Once you have those, you can craft and place your first workbench.

Now’s a good time to gather some extra gear, like weapons and torches. You’ll need them for your next task: exploring every cave you can find!

Inside the caves, you’ll discover veins of Copper – it’s a light brown color – and Iron, which is white with orange spots. You can mine these using your Stone Pickaxe.

To craft an Iron Pickaxe, you’ll need at least 5 Iron Ore. If you’re aiming for a complete set of Iron armor, you’ll need an additional 45 Iron Ore. And depending on the weapon you choose, you’ll need between 4 and 10 Iron Ore for that.

To get a complete set of Iron gear, you’ll need around 60 Iron items! However, you only absolutely need the Iron pickaxe to mine for Adamantite. While the Iron armor and weapons can be helpful when fighting enemies, you’ll also need to defeat certain enemies to get specific items they drop.

Where to Find Materials for Adamantite Gear

Okay, so you’ve finally got an Iron Pickaxe and you’re feeling pretty good about your gear? Awesome! It’s time to head into the Devastated Lands. What you really want to find within them is the Cinder Wastes biome – it’s the one you see in the picture, so keep your eyes peeled!

Okay, so listen up, because this is important! There’s only one area where you can actually find Adamantite. You’ll know where to look because the veins are marked by these really shiny, red rocks. They don’t pop up too often above ground, but if you’re willing to go spelunking, you can usually dig up a ton down in the caves. Just be warned, those caves are definitely more dangerous!

You might also occasionally discover structures in this area. These structures sometimes hold chests, and those chests often contain a random quantity of Adamantite Ore.

Crafting a complete set of Adamantite armor takes 77 Adamantite Ingots. If you also want to make weapons, you’ll need between 9 and 16 additional ingots.

If you’re aiming for a complete set of equipment, collecting around 100 Adamantite Ore is a good goal. Just be aware that it will take some time, as Adamantite is quite rare, even when you know the best places to find it!

Aside from the Adamantite Ore, you’ll also need to get Heavy Leather and Cindercloth Scraps.

Heavy Leather is simpler to obtain. You can get it by hunting large animals like Bears and Mosshorns, then processing their hides into Heavy Leather using a Tanning Rack.

Cindercloth Scraps are a little more challenging to obtain. You’ll need to defeat skeletons in the Devastated Lands to get them, which is why we suggested bringing strong weapons! Using ranged weapons is particularly helpful for collecting these safely.

To craft a complete set of Adamantite armor, you’ll need approximately 24 Heavy Leather and 20 Cindercloth Scraps. All Adamantite weapons require 3 Cindercloth Scraps and between 3 and 5 Heavy Leather.

That’s everything you need to know to get Adamantite gear quickly in Hytale! Remember, knowing the steps is just part of the process, so good luck with your collecting!
