I Asked Twisted Metal’s Cast What Their Big Wish Would Be If They Won Calypso’s Tournament, And I Got Some Unexpected Answers

Warning: This discussion may contain minor spoilers for those who haven’t finished watching the second season of Twisted Metal on Peacock. Proceed with caution!

In a blink of an eye, Twisted Metal Season 2 made a grand return and swiftly completed its airing on the 2025 television schedule, offering viewers the high-octane vehicular combat they’ve come to expect from a game adaptation like this. The series finale, “NUY3ARZ,” did indeed crown Anthony Carrigan’s cryptic Calypso’s tournament winner, but in a twist reminiscent of the character’s game actions, he granted the victory with strings attached, as if following the pattern of a “Monkey’s Paw.” These days, it seems no one can truly be trusted.

– Inquiring about the hilarious and cringe-worthy behind-the-scenes details of the oddball orgy scene in Twisted Metal, I conversed with the actors, including ‘Stu’ and Sweet Tooth’s portrayer.

– Curiosity got the better of me regarding Sweet Tooth’s actor (and ‘Stu’) and how well the mask hid his laughter during filming for Twisted Metal’s orgy scene, so I asked them about it.

When I had a chat with the cast of “Twisted Metal”, I inquired about their desires at the conclusion of Calypso’s tournament. The responses from some of the stars were as entertaining as they were surprising. So buckle up, whether you choose to listen or read on (or do both!).

Stephanie Beatriz

Concerning Stephanie Beatriz’s show “Quiet”, I found myself yearning for the return of Richard Cabral’s character from “Loud” following his unexpected demise in Season 1. When I posed this hypothetical question to the actress herself about her personal wish, disregarding ethics and societal implications, she demonstrated such grace that she couldn’t entertain the idea of having a wish without considering how it could contribute positively to society. In her own words:

“Even in my fantasy, I would still want my wish to make a difference.

I find it hard to imagine discarding ethical values, especially equality for all. In fact, if I were granted a wish, that would be my top priority. Can you imagine a world where everyone is treated equally? What a wonderful dream! It’s hard to put into words, but I sincerely hope we’ll make it there someday. Here’s to humanity eventually achieving true equality.

Perhaps only an extraordinarily talented individual’s unusual auto racing competition could potentially bring about the reality of true equality. If everyone shared John Doe’s love for the “The Baby-Sitters Club” books, we might develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for family and friendships, and even value modest hourly wages more highly.

Anthony Carrigan & Michael James Shaw

Instead of directly asking, I probed actors Anthony Carrigan (as Calypso) and Michael James Shaw (as Axel) about their ideal or dream scenarios, but admittedly, my questioning might have accidentally shaped their responses to some extent.

  • ANTHONY CARRIGAN: That’s a tough one,
  • NICK VENABLE: Season 3. Say Season 3
  • ANTHONY: I’m gonna say Season 3 of Twisted Metal, I think, is probably what I would wish for. Michael, what do you think? What do you think, bud?
  • MICHAEL JAMES SHAW: I would actually take a little step, maybe like, you know, three seasons. Three more seasons of Twisted Metal. Let’s get it going.

Absolutely! Following in the footsteps of Shaw’s famous words and the programming decision-makers at Peacock. While the show’s future is yet to be fully revealed, I’m crossing my fingers that the upcoming final three episodes signal we won’t have to wait much longer for some news – preferably good news. If it turns out that the series is wrapping up this year, I’d be content with not hearing any more about it.

Richard De Klerk & Lisa Gilroy

As a follower, I inquired Mr. Grimm portrayer Richard De Klerk and Vermin actress Lisa Gilroy about their thoughts on unbounded wishes, to which he swiftly acknowledged Calypso’s deceitful character. Interestingly, De Klerk also showcased his sports enthusiasm, and, in turn, fellow Canadian Gilroy suggested a comparable idea.

  • RICHARD DE KLERK: I know that Calypso doesn’t really grant a wish sort of, like in the games. It’s always the cutaway scene, and it’s never what you expect. But my wish is that Holland would win the World Cup. I’m 41 years old. I’ve never seen them win the World Cup. They’ve come close. I just want them to win the World Cup.
  • LISA GILROY: Okay, I guess, you know what? I’m changing my answer. We’ve been asked this a few times, and at one point I said that I would wish that the wars would stop. But let’s give the Oilers a Stanley Cup.
  • RICHARD DE KLERK: Yeah, there you go. There you go. I mean, you know, second for me would be the Vancouver Canucks. But also, we see what happens when they lose, they riot, so….

It’s likely that Calypso operates that way. If the Canucks won the Cup, the city might erupt in wild celebrations, leading to destruction. He sure is mischievous!

It’s quite intriguing, isn’t it, how Lisa Gilroy transitioned from advocating “no more wars” to celebrating an “Oilers Cup victory”? As a long-time supporter of the New Orleans Saints myself, I fully understand the craving for triumphs.

Saylor Bell Curda, Patty Guggenheim & Tiana Okoye

Having a lively chat with Saylor Bell Curda (Mayhem), Patty Guggenheim (Raven) and Tiana Okoye (Dollface) was a real treat, and when I inquired about their biggest indulgent wishes, Curda pondered for a moment before expressing a deep personal yearning rather than the more surface-level responses given by other cast members.

  • SAYLOR BELL CURDA: What a crazy question. It’s so tricky. It’s so tricky because Calypso’s such a little sneaky dude that like, I don’t think Mayhem would think twice about it. I’m sure she like genuinely would be like, ‘invincibility,’ But like, me being me, I’d be like, ‘Let me write everything down. Let me make sure I have the correct usage of words to make sure I get exactly what I want.’ But I would probably, if I was trying to go basic as well, to stay safe, I would probably also ask for a superpower. I’d probably want teleportation.
  • TIANA OKOYE: I was gonna say that!
  • SAYLOR BELL CURDA: Teleportation is rad. Not having to pay for like, airplanes fees again? Yes, please.

It’s nearly astonishing that Curda was the one who initially revealed possessing enhanced capabilities. However, considering Calypso’s knack for misinterpreting wishes, it makes sense that she might have transformed the actress into an electric current or a particle like a quark instead of enabling actual teleportation.

Instead of embracing Patty Guggenheim’s proposal for living like in a ‘Multicplicity’ manner, her peers swiftly highlighted it as a cautionary tale from popular culture.

  • PATTY GUGGENHEIM: I just want to be able to multiply so I could go to everything all at once.
  • SAYLOR BELL CURDA: That is actually genius. Cause then you could teleport, but…
  • TIANA OKOYE: But, oh, that scares me.
  • SAYLOR BELL CURDA: That would scare me a little.
  • TIANA OKOYE: Because what if one of one of them, like, turn turns against you? Have you seen Dark Matter?
  • SAYLOR BELL CURDA: Have you seen Gravity Falls?
  • TIANA OKOYE: You, of all people, should know about this multiverse.
  • PATTY GUGGENHEIM: Yeah, but one of me is really gonna learn how to fight.

Upon noticing some decor from the TV show “Gravity Falls” in my office, Curda enthusiastically mentioned the episode titled “Double Dipper.” In this episode, Dipper utilized a cloning device to create multiple versions of himself, but things eventually got out of control. However, Calypso wasn’t involved in that particular storyline.

The actresses seemingly landed on teleportation, but then the topic of food came up.

  • TIANA OKOYE: I’m sticking to teleportation. I’m gonna teleport.
  • SAYLOR BELL CURDA: Yes, teleportation, yeah, absolutely. Or…free food for the rest of my life,
  • TIANA OKOYE: Bottomless pit of a stomach so I can just have everything, as much as I want.
  • SAYLOR BELL CURDA: Or like, quick digestion.

I hadn’t given thought to such an ingenious response like “speedy digestion” before Saylor Bell Curda brought it up. To be honest, it may not hold the same appeal as a conventional superpower and it might not bring about change in the world as significantly as equality or seasons 3-5 of Twisted Metal. However, we’re just pretending here.

Keep an eye out for possible future news regarding Twisted Metal, and the most effective method to encourage this is by streaming episodes on Peacock.
