The show that takes the crown for most-watched moments of passion? It’s Outlander. I was genuinely shocked to see that one at the top!

As a huge fan of historical dramas with a touch of magic, I have to say Outlander really swept me—and a lot of others—off our feet when it premiered in 2014. It’s based on Diana Gabaldon’s incredibly popular book series. After ten years, they just wrapped filming in 2024, and we’re all eagerly awaiting the final season—Season 8—which is scheduled to air in 2026. It’s a perfect blend of romance and fantasy, and I’m a little sad to see it ending!

Each month, around 73,550 people search for explicit content from the series starring Caitríona Balfe and Sam Heughan, while roughly 57,360 do the same for the show that brought Jonathan Bailey and Nicola Coughlan to fame.

I was surprised to learn a time travel romance outperformed a Netflix original, but it makes sense when you consider the amount of content available. Outlander has six complete seasons, with the first half of season seven also on Netflix, giving viewers a lot more of the show’s popular romantic and intimate scenes to enjoy.
