‘I Really Hope They Do a Same Day Launch’: PS5 Fans Itching for Gears of War: E-Day Confirmation

Gears of War made its PS5 debut last year with the original game’s Reloaded remaster.

The game performed well on PlayStation, but it didn’t seem to sell as many copies as Forza Horizon 5.

Now, everyone is looking forward to Xbox’s showcase event on June 7th, which will be immediately followed by a detailed look at the new Gears of War: E-Day game.

We’ll finally get a detailed preview of the prequel, first announced in 2024, after a two-year wait.

The game is currently scheduled to release this year on Xbox Series X|S and PC. While there was previous talk of a PlayStation 5 version from the developers at The Coalition, it’s uncertain if that will still happen.

On Reddit, fans are hopeful for a day-and-date release.

Forza Horizon 6 is coming to the PS5, but players will have to wait a bit before it’s available.

As a big Xbox fan, I’m really excited about the new leadership! They’ve said they want to focus on what we, the core fans, want again, which is awesome. But I’m still a little worried about whether that means they’ll start making games exclusive to Xbox again. The new boss, Asha Sharma, hasn’t really given a straight answer about that yet, and honestly, it’s a bit frustrating!
