A popular crime series is returning after a decade, and will soon be available on Netflix. The streaming service already offers a wide range of highly-rated crime dramas, including original series like Ozark and other acclaimed shows such as Breaking Bad, as well as many mystery series for all ages.
Good news for fans of crime dramas! Netflix has announced that Veronica Mars will be back on the streaming service after being removed ten years ago. All three original seasons will be available starting Wednesday, January 14, 2026. This marks the first time the show has been on Netflix since the mid-2010s.
In the TV show Veronica Mars, Kristen Bell plays a teenage private investigator who learns the ropes from her detective father, Keith (Enrico Colantoni). Throughout the series, she solves both individual mysteries each week and larger, season-long cases. The show was highly praised by critics and received several award nominations during its three seasons.
The show originally ended in 2007, but fans brought it back with a movie in 2014, funded through a Kickstarter campaign. Then, in 2019, a fourth season premiered on Hulu, continuing the original story with Kristen Bell returning as Veronica. While a fifth season wasn’t made, the fourth season is widely considered a highly successful revival.
When Veronica Mars returns to Netflix, it will include the first three seasons, originally broadcast on UPN and The CW between 2004 and 2007 – a total of 64 episodes. Because the show was a beloved favorite among fans, it has a good chance of remaining popular with viewers on its return.
Because the series is often remembered as one of the best teen dramas from the 2000s, it could bring back fond memories for many viewers. Plus, now is a great time to discover – or revisit – the show, as it tackles relevant issues within its intriguing mysteries.
After being unavailable for a while, the show is returning to Netflix and has a good chance of gaining popularity again, especially considering its strong reputation and positive reviews. Fans won’t have to wait long – Veronica Mars will be back on streaming in just one month!
