After a shaky reveal period, Marathon’s marketing has been on point for a while now.
However, this newest game trailer, which came out before the upcoming server slam test, is by far the best one yet.
The scene shows a Rook, a solitary scavenger, picking through the aftermath of a big battle. While trying to take something from what he thinks is a dead enemy, the enemy suddenly comes back to life. This forces the Rook to shoot, which alerts a nearby group.
The trailer effectively builds suspense for Bungie’s new shooter and showcases the game’s signature visual style.
Although we haven’t actually played the game yet, everything we’ve seen of the first-person shooter suggests it’s going to be really fun.
The server slam will get underway this weekend, from 26th February. Will you be checking it out?
