If you enjoy indie games, you’ll want to check out the upcoming ID@Xbox showcase! In partnership with IGN, it will reveal a bunch of new and exciting indie games heading to Xbox this month.
I’m so excited for this showcase! It’s going to be around 50 minutes long and packed with everything – first looks at new games, actual gameplay footage, and exclusive trailers. It sounds like they’re covering a huge range of indie games, all different genres. Plus, they might even throw in some announcements about downloadable content for games we already love. It’s going to be awesome!

What to expect from the next ID@Xbox showcase
I’m so excited for the October 28th event! IGN and ID@Xbox just dropped a sneak peek at who’s going to be showing off their games, and I was thrilled to see Thunder Lotus on the list. They made Spiritfarer, which I absolutely loved, and their new game, 33 Immortals, looks really promising too!
Thunder Lotus has announced its next game, At Fate’s End, which is currently planned to launch in 2026. We might learn more about the game’s story and how it plays soon – it’s an action-adventure game set in a stunning fantasy world and features two sisters as the main characters.
Serenity Forge, the publisher behind popular indie games like Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! and Slay the Princess, is likely to share news about a new game or update during the upcoming showcase. They recently announced Fractured Blooms, a unique blend of horror and farming simulation, which is currently planned for release on Steam. It’s possible they’ll announce plans to bring Fractured Blooms to Xbox, or unveil a completely new project.
IGN also reports that DON’T NOD is involved. This independent game studio has created many well-loved games, such as the first Life is Strange, Tell Me Why, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, and Jusant.

Poncle, the creator of the popular game Vampire Survivors, is also a notable name. Starting as a solo project, the team expanded to 25 people after the game’s unexpected success. While still focused on Vampire Survivors, poncle now also publishes other small indie games, with Kill the Brickman being their latest release.
Poncle has said that online co-op will be available in Autumn 2025, and they have more news coming soon. Knowing their past releases, they might surprise us with a major update anytime now, so it’s a good idea to have Vampire Survivors ready and decide who you want to play with!

As a researcher following Pathea Games – the team behind *My Time at Portia* and *My Time at Sandrock* – I anticipate they’ll use the ID@Xbox showcase to finally announce a release date for their next game, *My Time at Evershine*. The game recently finished a hugely successful Kickstarter campaign, gaining support from over 33,000 backers who pledged almost $3 million. It’s exciting to see such strong community interest!
Since Pathea has previously added their ‘My Time At’ games to Xbox Game Pass, there’s a good chance ‘My Time at Evershine’ will be available on Game Pass from day one when it’s released.
Here are some other developers and publishers who will be at the ID@Xbox Showcase on October 28th:
- PlaySide (Game of Thrones: War for Westeros)
- Hooded Horse (Terra Invicta, Against the Storm)
- Thunderful (Godbreakers, Replaced)
- Skybound (The Walking Dead, Homestead Arcana)
- Raw Fury (Blue Prince, Cassette Beasts)
- Cult Games (Hotel Barcelona)
