I’ll Never Look At Kylie Jenner’s Perfume The Same After Learning She And Kendall’s Cleavage Shaped The Bottle

It’s safe to say Kylie Jenner has lived a remarkably unusual life for someone under 30, and she often feels older than her age. A major part of that has been building Kylie Cosmetics in 2014, which quickly made the reality star a billionaire. She’s involved in every aspect of the business, from product development to packaging design. However, I’ll definitely see her perfume in a new light now that I’ve learned she and Kendall Jenner actually used their bodies to inspire the bottle‘s shape.

How Kylie And Kendall Jenner Used Their Cleavage To Shape The Cosmic Perfume Bottle

If you’re into fashion, beauty, and especially the beautiful packaging these products often come in, you understand how much a stunning bottle can add to the experience – like a new perfume. Following in the footsteps of Kim Kardashian, who famously designed her KKW Body fragrance bottle to resemble herself, Kylie Jenner has now collaborated with her sister Kendall to design the bottle for her 2024 fragrance, Cosmic.

A video has been making the rounds that shows the sisters making creative use of their boobies to make the “sculptural bottle” that “was formed to fit perfectly in the palm of your hand,” and I never would have guessed at how they did it:

It’s amazing to think that the unique shape of the Cosmic perfume bottle actually came from a hug! It’s hard to believe two women embracing around a soft clay pot inspired the design. Most people probably assumed Kylie Jenner simply chose from a range of artist-created concepts and had samples made. This process is unlike anything I’ve ever heard of when it comes to perfume bottle creation.

The bottle doesn’t have a particularly feminine shape, likely because the women creating it were fully dressed during the process. Ultimately, this was a clever way to ensure Cosmic’s packaging was unique and meaningful – something no other fragrance company could exactly replicate.

It seems the creators hugged the mold twice, carefully adjusting the pressure in different areas to achieve the final shape. Now that we know how it was made, it’s hard to look at the bottle without picturing their playful, albeit a little clumsy, but effective hug!
