LEVEL-5 and Aiming have announced a new mobile game, Inazuma Eleven: Cross, for both iOS and Android devices. The game will be free to download, but will offer optional in-app purchases for items. A specific release date hasn’t been revealed yet.
You can currently sign up for the closed beta test on the game’s official website, but it’s only open to players in Japan. They’re looking for a limited number of testers – just 20,000 will be selected.
I’m really into Inazuma Eleven: Cross! It’s a soccer simulation game with a totally new story and a fresh main character. The best part? It’s made for phones and super easy to control – you just give commands, so it’s perfect for quick gaming sessions whenever I have a few minutes.
Okay, so it’s a bit like Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road – you’re a coach, and a big part of the game is building up your team. But this time around, the main character isn’t anything like Sasanami Unmei or Destin Bellows. They’ve got a totally different personality, which should make things interesting!
The game focuses on building a team, planning strategies, and competing in matches. Instead of directly controlling players, you’ll act as a coach, and the results depend on how you customize your team and the choices you make during a match. You can also choose to have matches play out automatically.
LEVEL-5 has announced that save data from Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road won’t work with Inazuma Eleven Cross. It will only be usable with a future installment in the Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road series.
