Industry star on how season 4 relationship is “spinning out of control”

Fans were surprised, though not entirely shocked, by Yasmin’s romantic choice in season 4 of Industry. While many predicted her connection with Henry Muck, things aren’t turning out to be as perfect as they initially appeared.

The episode ended with Yasmin clearly choosing Henry over Rob, even though she and Rob had just confessed their feelings for each other. Henry then revealed he and Yasmin are engaged, leaving Rob heartbroken – and viewers reeling from the emotional blow – for the foreseeable future.

Everyone expected Yasmin to end up with Henry, who comes from a wealthy family, rather than Rob, who doesn’t. However, their marriage isn’t turning out to be the fairytale she likely imagined.

Ahead of season 4, Abela revealed that Yasmin is married to Henry Muck, but their relationship is deeply troubled. She finds herself not only as a wife, but also as a caretaker for Henry, who feels resentment towards her for needing that care.

Abela explained that Yasmin doesn’t have much to lose by leaving Henry at this point in the season. While she’d give up her wealth and status, Abela believes Yasmin is already deeply unhappy and would likely be better off if Henry doesn’t change his behavior.

At the end of season 3, Yasmin decided to be with Henry instead of continuing her complicated relationship with Rob. Now, it seems she’s embracing a more relaxed lifestyle, but she’s also starting a new career path and focusing on her own ambitions.

Abela shared that it was enjoyable to portray Yasmin excelling at her work. Even if people don’t agree with how she does things, she’s finally putting her skills to professional use. Abela believes this is when Yasmin is happiest – being seen as valuable by others, aside from brief moments of happiness she experienced with Harper or Robert in previous seasons.

Around episodes 3 and 4, Yasmin really shines and proves her worth. It’s heartwarming to see characters like Lord Norton and Whitney reflect the person she’s always aspired to be. You can tell she’s thrilled with any praise she receives – she practically beams when someone says ‘Good job, Yasmin!’

Naomi Abela won a BAFTA award for her performance as Yasmin in season three, and her career is looking very promising. Fans are especially excited for season four, which is expected to be full of drama and excitement.

Now successful after graduating from Pierpoint, Harper and Yasmin find themselves caught up in a thrilling and competitive chase when a new, exciting financial technology company arrives in London.

Yasmin’s relationship with tech mogul Sir Henry Muck and Harper’s growing connection with the mysterious Whitney Halberstram are straining their friendship. As money and ambition come into play, their bond becomes increasingly complicated and volatile, fueled by a shared drive for success.

Season two will bring back stars Indira Varma as Yasmin and Darren Boyd as Henry, and introduce several new faces. Joining the cast are Charlie Heaton, known from Stranger Things, Claire Forlani (Departure), Kal Penn (Designated Survivor), Max Minghella (The Handmaid’s Tale), Kiernan Shipka (The Last Showgirl), Jack Farthing (The Serial Killer’s Wife), Toheeb Jimoh (Ted Lasso), and Amy James-Kelly (Coronation Street).
