Influencer Breaks Spine Attempting Nicki Minaj Stiletto Challenge

Never try to walk a mile in Nicki Minaj’s heels.

Mariana Barutkina, a prominent Russian influencer, experienced a warning story when she undertook the viral stiletto challenge, where participants try balancing in high heels while striking a pose to Nicki Minaj’s “High School” track. Regrettably, she suffered a back fracture only weeks after giving birth as a result of this challenge.

In a post on her August 1st Instagram, Mariana shared that she’d chosen to begin blogging and now, after being diagnosed by the doctor with an uncomplicated fracture of the body due to Th9 compression, here she is.

In a playful tone, the influencer mused, “Is it irony, karma, or simply life testing us when we least expect it?

In the scene captured by the video, Mariana was trying to stand on a saucepan that rested atop a canister of baby formula on the kitchen counter. For a brief moment, she managed to stay balanced. However, the situation took an unexpected turn as she lost her footing and tumbled backwards from the elevated countertop.

But despite the minor back fracture, Mariana admitted that the spill was worth the claim to fame.

In a recent post, I shared, “Due to a single, unlucky take that didn’t quite make the cut, I’ve found myself catapulted into the limelight.” To my astonishment, over fifty individuals reached out today, sharing my reel from various platforms.

And the mommy blogger assured that she and her newborn were doing fine in light of the fall.

Mariana went on to say, ‘Everything’s going well for me, I’m sticking to the rules and enjoying a high-profile life.’ Anyone concerned about my little one need not fret, he has not one but two caretakers. While I was shooting, one of them looked after him.

Recently, many accidents have gained widespread attention online. One such instance happened earlier this summer when Savannah Bananas baseball player Robert Anthony Cruz experienced a brief moment in the spotlight due to his unsuccessful backflip attempt during a live CNN broadcast.

As the clip made rounds around the internet, Robert assured he was not only OK—but in on the joke.

To clarify, feel free to chuckle along with me! Every time I revisit that video, I just can’t help but laugh out loud. And let me tell you, with the sound on, it’s absolutely hilarious!

After Mariana and Robert successfully navigated their viral ordeals with minimal impact, let’s delve further into other surprising health challenges faced by celebrities…

In a recent disclosure, a former contestant on Total Bellas admitted that following a powerful elbow strike by fellow WWE star Piper Niven during a wrestling bout in July 2025, one of her breast implants had moved from its original position.

She reassured Bella Garcia at the moment, saying, “Everything is alright.” She added, “We’ll sort it out eventually. I told the doctor, ‘I’m newly divorced, and as soon as my boots are off, I’ll be back to you, and we’re going to ensure these girls look their best, because these girls have a bright future ahead, and that can’t appear like this.’

In 2014, the actress who played a prominent role in “12 Years a Slave” was diagnosed with fibroids, which are non-cancerous growths that can appear within or near the uterus. Interestingly, this diagnosis came in the same year she received an Oscar for her exceptional performance in that movie.

Yet, she didn’t reveal her condition until the year 2025, taking to Instagram to share that she had been quietly enduring it for over a decade.

She expressed that when we enter puberty, we are often led to believe that periods come with pain, and this discomfort is just an expected aspect of being female. She emphasized that many women are coping with this issue individually, as it significantly impacts our lives.

Come July 2025, I, an over-the-moon fan, found myself grappling with the news of my cherished idol from Daisy Jones & The Six being admitted to the hospital. It seemed that a hernia – a pesky tear in the muscle wall often spotted in the tummy or lower belly region – had made its unwelcome appearance, all thanks to a love for skin-tight trousers.

She wrote on X, the platform previously known as Twitter, “Suki, it seems like you’re not tweeting anymore.” She added, “You might recall that I wore such tight pants 6 months ago that they gave me a hernia. I’ve been hesitant to mention this to you because I was afraid.

In an announcement made in April 2025, the former star of “Beverly Hills, 90210” shared that he was on the road to recovery following an operation, as his appendix had come close to rupturing.

A week ago, Brian shared in an Instagram post that he began experiencing abdominal discomfort. This led him to visit the emergency room where it was discovered he had a nearly-burst appendix, not quite ruptured yet.

He added, “I’m on the road to recovery. It’s not an easy process. This is my first major surgery.”

Adam Devine revealed that the injuries he suffered at age 11, following an accident with a cement truck, continue to impact his health up until now.

In a 2025 episode of the In Depth With Graham Bensinger podcast, I shared my struggles. I’ve been experiencing body spasms everywhere, and for a stretch of time, the doctors gave me grim news – they thought I was close to death, even predicting it within the past year.

He observed that pain occasionally appears and disappears, expressing that his body sometimes functions irregularly and incorrectly.

Previously from Bachelor Nation, he disclosed his recent visit to the hospital where he had to crawl due to intense back pain that worsened during a camping trip with a companion.

At this moment, from my knees down to my toes, I’m experiencing an unusual tingling sensation, believe it or not,” he shared during his Trading Secrets podcast on March 2025. “To give you some context, roughly two to four weeks ago, I was squatting around 295 pounds. Yet, today, I can’t even manage a single-leg squat without falling over. It feels as if I’ve had a minor stroke or something similar.

But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”

Back in March 2025, Gina Kirschenheiter from “Real Housewives of Orange County” revealed that her former spouse, Matt Kirschenheiter, had experienced a heart attack. Fortunately, he managed to pull through this harrowing experience.

Back in March 2025, I, a die-hard fan, found myself on the edge of my seat during a New York Knicks game at the legendary Madison Square Garden. Little did I know that the star of 30 Rock, my beloved idol, was about to send a chill down my spine. Unfortunately, he experienced a health hiccup right there in the stadium, causing him to be wheeled out of the very place where basketball legends and stars like me share our passion.

On the next day, the comic posted an update on social media, explaining it was a case of food poisoning and he was recovering.

In February 2025, the former Even Stevens actress disclosed that she had been accidentally shot in the face during a celebratory clay pigeon shooting trip for her husband, Brendan Rooney’s birthday.

She posted on Instagram that there was another group with us, and they carelessly fired in a dangerous manner, striking me in the face. Instantly, @thebrendanrooney took action, evaluated my condition, and hurried me to the hospital. I was wounded in five spots, with one injury being just inches away from hitting me directly in my right eye.

The actress from “Kim Possible” went on to say, “Regrettably, a piece became stuck at the back of my eye, and it’s not safe to operate surgically right now. My doctors are keeping a close watch on me, but for now, I can see just fine.

She expressed her heartfelt gratitude for being alive, saying, “I hold my loved ones – daughters, husband, family, and friends – incredibly dear to me. In a moment that made me see my life’s highlights, I’m urging you: cherish the people near you whenever you can. Life’s unpredictable; it can transform in the blink of an eye.

In her own words, comedian Amy Schumer expressed gratitude for the internet’s role in helping her identify a health issue during an episode of Call Her Daddy in January 2025. As she faced criticism online, doctors chimed in with comments suggesting that she might have Cushing syndrome. After realizing she had been receiving steroid injections for her scars, Amy discovered that this was indeed the cause of her condition. In a News Not Noise newsletter published in February 2024, Amy expressed relief upon learning that the type of Cushing’s syndrome she had would resolve on its own and that she remained healthy.

In a game played in December 2024, an AHL player sustained a deep cut from another player’s skate and required 25 stitches for treatment. Later, when the player had fully recuperated, his father, New Jersey Devils general manager Tom Fitzgerald, shared with ESPN that they felt fortunate. He added, “I wouldn’t wish this experience on any parent.

Hailey Bieber endured a particularly terrifying episode in March 2022 while having breakfast with husband Justin Bieber. She started experiencing symptoms similar to a stroke, causing her speech to become difficult and her face to droop on one side.

Hailey recalled the incident a month later on YouTube, explaining that she struggled to respond when Justin asked if she was alright. Eventually, she couldn’t speak at all. After being taken to the hospital for checks, they discovered a small blood clot in her brain, which was classified as a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA).

Further examination at the University of California, Los Angeles, revealed that Hailey had a hole in her heart called patent foramen ovale (PFO). The blood clot reportedly travelled into her heart, escaped through the hole, and moved to her brain, causing the TIA.

Hailey underwent a successful PFO closure procedure and now feels well.

In the same year when Hailey went through a health crisis, Justin Bieber also encountered one. Specifically, in 2022, the “Baby” singer revealed his diagnosis with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which led to temporary facial paralysis and caused him to cancel the rest of his Justice World Tour. Explaining the condition on Instagram, he said it was caused by a virus attacking the nerve in his ear and facial nerves, resulting in full paralysis on one side of his face. He found it difficult to eat due to this paralysis, but eventually, it improved. Hailey shared that Justin is doing well now and is feeling much better after the unexpected health scare. On an episode of Good Morning America, she expressed her relief that he’s fine.

Jamie Foxx initially chose to keep secret the details of his hospitalization in April 2023, but later shared his experiences. In Atlanta, he recalled saying, “I had such a severe headache, so I asked my friend for an aspirin.” However, before he could get it, he collapsed and lost consciousness for about 20 days.

Initially, Jamie was treated by a doctor who administered a cortisone shot and sent him home. Concerned, his sister Deidra Dixon then took him to another hospital where they discovered the cause: A brain bleed that resulted in a stroke.

Twenty days after undergoing surgery on May 4, Jamie woke up in a wheelchair and was unable to walk. He then traveled to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy.

“I can only say that I appreciate every prayer,” he said, “because I needed every one of them.

Actress Emilia Clarke, known for her role in Game of Thrones, penned an essay titled “A Battle for My Life” in 2019. In the piece, she recounted an incident at a gym where she experienced severe headaches, vomiting, and worsening pain. She suspected her brain was damaged and was rushed to the hospital for a scan.

The diagnosis was a subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), a potentially fatal type of stroke caused by bleeding in the space surrounding the brain. Emilia had an aneurysm, or arterial rupture, that required immediate surgery to seal. The pain during this operation she described as “unbearable.”

While recovering, Emilia experienced aphasia, speaking nonsensical words. However, a week later, the aphasia subsided and she was discharged from the hospital a month after being admitted.

In 2013, another brain scan revealed a growth had doubled in size, necessitating another surgery. Upon waking from the procedure, Emilia shared that she was screaming in pain due to the failure of the operation. The doctors explained that her chances of survival were precarious and needed to perform another operation by opening her skull.

Fortunately, Emilia is now reportedly “at a hundred per cent.

Cori Broadus, the daughter of renowned artist Snoop Dogg, expresses her gratitude towards her family.

After she experienced a “severe stroke” in January 2024, her loved ones promptly rushed to support her.

She shared with TopMob News‘ correspondent Will Marfuggi in December 2024 that she had texted them about the stroke and sent a picture. “Everyone just came to my aid,” she stated.

Due to additional health complications, Cori’s hospital stay extended beyond her initial expectation.

“I could have been discharged after my stroke, but my lupus wasn’t in good condition,” the star of Snoop’s Fatherhood: Cori and Wayne’s Story continued. “My kidneys were failing. There was a lot happening.”

Currently, Cori is on the road to recovery.

“I’m doing well,” she added. “I just needed to regain some motor skills. Apart from that, I was fine.

In her twenties, Shailene Woodley faced numerous health challenges. At one point, she started losing her hearing, struggled to walk for more than a few minutes without needing long periods of rest, and experienced stomach pain with almost every meal. She was diagnosed with various conditions by different doctors, but the exact issue remained unclear.

To find answers, Shailene-who has a holistic background and studies herbalism-decided to consult both conventional medical professionals (MDs) and independent healers. This quest for healing took a decade. During this time, she also battled feelings of discomfort physically, which led to fear of food, body dysmorphia, confusion about identity, and uncertainty about feeling safe in her own skin.

After addressing both her physical and mental health issues, Shailene is now feeling much better. She shared that the journey ultimately resulted in a resolution of her physical problems, and she is happy to be in good health.
