Nat Wolff and Billie Eilish proved they’re birds of a feather.
Seven months after they started dating, the actor from Paper Towns was there to support Billie Eilish at the 2026 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on February 1st. She won Song of the Year and was also nominated for Record of the Year.
Billie was surprised to win, but she and Nat shared a warm hug – he even kissed her on the head – before she walked onstage with her brother, FINNEAS, to accept their award.
Nat, 31, and Billie, 24, met in March 2023 at a dinner with Nat’s brother, Alex Wolff. The two are bandmates, performing together as Nat & Alex Wolff, previously known as the Naked Brothers Band. After some speculation, Nat and Billie confirmed their relationship in June with a public display of affection during a trip to Venice.
Nat and Alex aren’t just partners in life, they also collaborate professionally. They’ll be opening for Billie during her 2024 Hit Me Hard and Soft tour, and she even produced a version of their song, “Soft Kissing Hour,” for the album.
Nat told Rolling Stone that recording the song with Billie was a very simple, intimate process. It was just the three of them in a room, using a single microphone that Nat had to hold because it couldn’t reach the piano where Alex was playing, which was about 20 feet away.
The actor from The Fault in Our Stars also mentioned that Billie – who he’d collaborated with before on her 2024 song “Wildflower” – suggested adding her vocals to the end of the track.
Nat explained that Billie suggested they sing together at the end of the song. ‘She thought it would sound great, just like it did on our song “Wildflower,”’ he said.
It wasn’t just the singers featured on the recording – Nat also shared that Billie Eilish’s dog, Shark, unexpectedly appeared on the track as well.
Nat explained that when they sent the track to the mixing engineer, some small audio details were removed. “They took out things like Billie’s dog snoring,” Nat said, “and we asked them to put those sounds back in.”
He added that there was something truly inspiring about it. He explained that when you don’t have a lot of time or resources, and you approach things with a playful, spontaneous attitude, something special can happen.
