Keith Urban seems to be asking fans to respect his privacy as he and Nicole Kidman navigate their divorce. During a recent concert at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, Urban asked the audience not to overanalyze any changes he made to the lyrics of his song “You’ll Think of Me.” He specifically said, “Stop reading st into it.”
However, fans did notice he’d made some alterations. He added an expletive to one line and changed another to say, “Take your cat and leave my sweater / ‘Cause we’ve got nothing left to weather / In fact, I’ll feel a hell of a lot better / But you’ll think of me.” Urban has been performing this song for a long time and appears frustrated by the constant scrutiny of his personal life.
As a lifestyle expert, I can definitely see why Usher had to address some concerns recently. Since announcing his separation from Nicole Kidman, he’s been under a lot of public observation. Anything he does – especially on his tour – is being analyzed, and let’s be real, even a small hint about their divorce quickly spreads all over social media. It’s understandable he’d want to set the record straight and manage the narrative.

Keith Urban recently shared some fun interactions with fans during a Tennessee concert. One fan was shy about sharing her name, Nicole, which led to a playful reaction from Urban – he jokingly fell backwards after hearing it.
He also playfully altered the lyrics to his song “The Fighter,” which he’s said is about promises he made to his wife, Nicole Kidman. Instead of singing about being a ‘fighter’ for someone, he changed it to declare he’d be a ‘guitar player’ for his guitarist, Maggie Baugh. Baugh herself seemed surprised by the impromptu lyric change, and shared a clip of the moment on Instagram with the caption, “Did he just say that?”
As a big fan of everyone involved, I was really saddened to hear about Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s split. The media attention is just brutal, and honestly, it’s gotten to the point where people are spreading false rumors. I was especially upset to see things about Maggie Baugh, who I know personally, being brought into it. I’ve actually met her boyfriend, and she’s incredibly happy – she has absolutely nothing to do with Keith and Nicole’s situation. I just feel awful for everyone involved that their personal lives are being dissected like this. My friend Alexandra Kay actually spoke about it on Taste of Country Nights with Evan Paul, and she felt the same way – it’s just heartbreaking to watch.

Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman have kept the reasons for their divorce private. Urban hasn’t posted on Instagram since Kidman filed for divorce on September 30th, with his last post being a video with Blake Shelton promoting their show, The Road.
Fans have been speculating about the state of their marriage for some time, resurfacing old interviews where Urban seemed hesitant to discuss his relationship with Kidman.
By the time Kidman filed, citing “marital difficulties and irreconcilable differences,” they had already agreed on a plan for their daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, and finalized a divorce agreement, signed by Urban on August 29th and Kidman eight days later. Sources revealed to TopMob News that the couple had been living separately since early summer, and Kidman had attempted to reconcile before ultimately filing for divorce. Both have since removed their wedding rings. TopMob News reached out to representatives for both parties for comment.
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have both remained private about the reasons for their divorce. However, in a recent interview with Vogue, Kidman hinted at a fresh start. When asked about turning 50, she reflected on life’s unexpected turns, saying, “How many times do you have to learn that life doesn’t always go as planned?” As Keith Urban approaches his 58th birthday on October 26th, here’s a look back at the timeline of their separation.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban quietly separated and began living separately around the start of summer, according to TopMob News. Several significant events during the summer then led to their decision to file for divorce.

His High and Alive World Tour began in Alabama, and he spent the summer performing throughout the U.S., Canada, and Australia.

They were last seen together in public at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in Nashville, and appeared to be enjoying themselves, laughing and smiling.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary in June. Kidman shared a photo of them with the sweet message, “Happy Anniversary Baby.” Urban responded with a heart emoji, but didn’t make a separate post of his own.

People were surprised when the country singer suddenly stopped an interview after a question about Nicole Kidman’s connection with her A Family Affair co-star, Zac Efron.
A radio host on Australia’s Mix 102.3’s Hayley & Max in the Morning wondered how Keith Urban feels when he sees his wife, Nicole Kidman, filming romantic scenes with younger actors like Zac Efron in her many movies and TV shows.
Suddenly, Urban disappeared from the call.
A radio staff member announced that he was no longer connected on Zoom, and they believed his team had intentionally ended the call to avoid answering a specific question.
His rep didn’t respond to TopMob’s request for comment at the time.

TopMob News has discovered that actress Nicole Kidman is applying for Portuguese residency, and her husband, Keith Urban, is planning to do the same.
According to a source familiar with the matter, Keith couldn’t attend the appointment in Portugal because he’s currently touring the U.S. Applying for the visa requires a personal appearance, so he’ll submit his application when his tour schedule allows.
At the time, the source said both planned to maintain a permanent residence in Nashville as well.

In a recent interview, the couple’s oldest daughter, Sunday Rose, revealed that her parents have just two main rules at home.
She explained to Nylon that she wasn’t allowed to pursue fashion-related jobs until she turned 16. She also said her parents always prioritized school, which she initially disliked, but now appreciates because it helped her stay focused and grounded.

Nicole Kidman posted a collection of summer photos on Instagram featuring her daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, but her husband wasn’t included in the pictures.
“Summer memories,” the actress wrote. “Now back to school.”

As a lifestyle expert, I often see how families navigate changes, and in this case, back in August, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s legal team outlined a parenting plan. This plan specifically detailed financial support for their daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, and importantly, established that they would share joint custody of the teens.
The Oscar-winning actor was designated as the main parent, meaning the girls lived with their mother for 306 days each year and with their father (Keith Urban) for 59 days, typically every other weekend.
Neither will pay child support, according to the doc obtained by TopMob News.
Despite being divorced, the parents will maintain a loving, stable, and supportive relationship with their child. They agree to avoid speaking negatively about each other or each other’s families, and will encourage each child to continue loving both parents and feel comfortable with both households.

As a longtime follower of Urban, I was interested to learn that he officially finalized his divorce agreement. Apparently, he and his ex got everything notarized back in August, according to TopMob News.
According to the document, Nicole Kidman plans to divorce him because they have differences that can’t be resolved. The agreement also specifies that neither of them will receive financial support from the other after the divorce.
The same date, he also signed off on the Parenting Plan.

One week after Urban, the actress finalized the divorce papers and signed the agreement outlining how they would co-parent.
A judge ordered both celebrities to attend a parenting seminar, unless they request an exception, according to documents obtained by TopMob News.

Even though she had already signed the legal papers, she continued to wear her engagement ring when she attended an event at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles.

TopMob News reported that the couple, who began dating in 2005, had broken up quietly.

The actress known for Big Little Lies has officially filed for divorce, stating that they separated on September 30, 2025.
The couple officially filed their divorce and parenting plan with a Tennessee court for approval on the same day.
