On August 16, when Madonna turned 67, she gleefully showcased images from her extravagant Italian birthday celebration. Fittingly, this special day was marked with a symbolic flair.
For a long time, my heartfelt wish has been to experience the Palio horse race in Siena on my birthday, as it has been held since 1482. On my August 19th Instagram post, Madonna expressed her feelings, saying there are no adequate words for the thrill, anticipation, and grandeur! Witnessing such a sacred event where thousands of people stand in awe before the race start is truly an unparalleled experience!
The singer known for “Holiday” was present at the historic race, accompanied by her boyfriend Akeem Morris, who is 28 years old, as well as her eldest daughters Lourdes, aged 26, and Mercy, aged 19. It’s also worth mentioning that she has four other children: Rocco, David, and twelve-year-old twins Stella and Estere.
Speaking from experience, I can’t adequately express the extraordinary nature of that race myself. It was a dream come true, a celebration of my birthday, and a heartfelt goodbye to beautiful Italy, all wrapped into one unforgettable moment. Grazie Mille!
Not only did Madonna’s Italian celebration continue beyond the Palio de Siena, but she also enjoyed dinner with her family, strolled around the city, explored an art museum, and marveled at Mercy’s piano talent. However, the culmination of her celebration took place later that evening when she reunited with her extended family at Teatro Grande.
At that location, the Grammy-winning hostess held a celebration adorned with fireworks and a massive Labubu birthday cake. Once she had extinguished the candles on her whimsical dessert inspired by dolls, she snapped a delightful photo with all six of her children.
Madonna’s celebratory post comes over a week after she honored her other favorite Leo.
On August 11, her Instagram post read a celebration for Rocco: ‘A winding journey, filled with your diverse moods and transformations, has been both turbulent and unexpected.’ Yet, throughout this adventure, ‘your insatiable curiosity and artistic spirit’ have served as the binding force that has kept us connected.
In conclusion, she mentioned her son’s artistic profession, saying, “Praise be to Art! Praise be to you! It seems we’ve been bound by numerous lifetimes.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’d like to share an heartwarming moment from my personal life. Last Thanksgiving in 2022, I was blessed to spend quality time with my dear children – Lourdes Leon, Rocco Ritchie, David Banda, Mercy James, Estere, and Stella. It was a delight to capture this cherished memory in a photograph that I am proud to share with you all.
In August 2024, the “Like a Prayer” artist celebrated Rocco’s 24th birthday in Italy.
Following her hospital stay in 2023, Madonna expressed her gratitude to her children by penning a tribute, stating that love from family and friends serves as the finest form of healing medicine.
In her Instagram post, she shared pictures of herself and her kids, saying that as a mother, it’s easy to get engrossed in meeting their needs and constantly giving. However, when times got tough, her children proved to be incredibly supportive.
The Grammy winner noted, “I witnessed an aspect of them that I’d never seen before, and it completely changed everything.
Back in October 2023, I was there, absolutely starstruck, on the opening night of the Celebration Tour. Guess who I had the privilege to witness? None other than the pop superstar and her daughter Lourdes! The one I adore more than anything, watching them mesmerized by the captivating dance performance of none other than Estere. It was a moment I’ll cherish forever as a fan!
Madonna was also joined by Mercy, who played the piano, during the October 2023 concert.
David assisted his mother in preparing for her Celebration Tour. According to a post on Madonna’s Instagram in April 2024, “I believe that the most significant lesson my kids learned this year while rehearsing and performing is that if you aspire to pursue your dreams, you must put in the hard work required.
Should everyone pick a different path in the future, they’ll always remember this year as one filled with blood, sweat, and tears-a fact that I won’t forget either.
Madonna rang in her 66th birthday in 2024 with her six kids.
In 2017, just before welcoming twins Estere and Stella into her family, Madonna shared a family picture, expressing that she was beginning the year surrounded by her four greatest joys!
As a proud new member of their brood, I’m thrilled to announce that the formalities of adopting beautiful twin girls from Malawi have been successfully finalized. Estere and Stella are now an integral part of our cherished family, and I couldn’t be more ecstatic about this wonderful addition!
