I’ve been absolutely hooked by Invincible Universe: Battle Beast! The comic has been building towards this huge fight, and issue #6 back in October delivered a seriously intense, over-the-top battle. But that fight with Juggernaut wasn’t the finish line – everyone’s been dying to know what happens next, and now we finally have a date! It’s coming sooner than I expected, and honestly, the timing couldn’t be better.
ComicBook is excited to announce that Invincible Universe: Battle Beast will be back with issue #7 on March 18, 2026. The release coincides with Skybound’s celebration of Invincible Month, which is planned around the premiere of Season 4 of the popular Invincible animated series on Prime Video. 2026 Is Going to Be All About the Viltrumites
2026 promises to be a huge year for the Viltrumites, with both Season 4 of Invincible and the return of Invincible Universe: Battle Beast on the way. According to creator Kirkman, the Battle Beast arc was just the beginning, hinting at even bigger and more chaotic stories to come.
According to Kirkman, 2026, the period between season four of the show and this ‘Battle Beast’ series, will heavily focus on the Viltrumites. He’s excited that readers are starting to understand the bigger picture of the story, explaining that the first arc was just a preview of the intense events to come, specifically how Battle Beast ended up imprisoned by the Viltrumites.
Ottley wondered if Thragg’s final word in issue 6—’CONQUEST’—hinted at a future battle between Battle Beast and Conquest. He was incredibly excited by the possibility and joked that it was too much news for a single announcement, especially with a cover by Todd McFarlane!
What Else Can Invincible Fans Look Forward to in 2026?
March is shaping up to be an exciting month for fans of Invincible. The seventh issue of Invincible Universe: Battle Beast will start a major new story arc, pitting Battle Beast against his greatest foes—and the Viltrum Empire is coming! This release is part of a larger wave of comics celebrating the debut of Invincible Season 4, which includes both reprinted popular issues and brand-new collections.
And if all that wasn’t exciting enough, there’s even more on the way for fans like me! I’m really looking forward to Invincible VS., a 3v3 tag fighting game from Skybound and Quarter Up, which is slated to come out in 2026. It looks like it’s going to be a seriously competitive game!
