As the release of inZOI‘s significant resort-themed expansion, Island Getaway, draws near, inZOI Studio has initiated the process by unveiling the island of Cahaya through an official website and disclosing information about the Cahaya Challenge. At Cahaya Island Resort, there are two separate islands: a larger one housing the primary city, while a smaller one lies off its shores, known as the Island Resort. The principal island of Cahaya offers various activities for participants to engage in, such as fishing, cultivation, and gem mining. Items obtained or crafted through these activities can be sold at stands that players can place anywhere on the main island.
As a gamer, I can tell you that the virtual currency I earn by selling items in the game can be splurged on Resort Island, a haven brimming with opportunities for my character Zois to unwind. Here, there’s swimming, snorkeling, cruising around on a motorbike, exploring a temple filled with cats, and even finding tranquility at the resort with a massage, a spa day, or some laid-back arcade games.
If you’re eager to unwind in Cahaya and want to bring a piece of that experience into the game, you’ll be delighted to know there’s a “Me in Cahaya” filter on the game’s official website. With this feature, you can upload your own photos, and they will be transformed into an in-game depiction of yourself having a blast in Cahaya, as if your character, Zoi, was enjoying a vacation in the charming resort town.
Additionally, the debut of the “Island Getaway” extension will introduce a fresh assortment of activities for players to engage in. Highlighting these events is the “Create Your Cahaya” contest, where participants will be asked to create their unique version of Cahaya. The purpose of this challenge is to inspire players to explore and enjoy some of the tranquil experiences that the expansion offers. This event is set to commence on August 15 and conclude on August 24.
Additionally, we’ll have the Cahaya Summer Event taking place, which encompasses not only the debut of the expansion but also methods to catch the inZOI@Cahaya event, plus numerous live streams where participants can preview unique cosmetic goods by watching.
The “Island Getaway” extension is set to arrive in “inZOI” on August 20th. Before this, gamers will have the opportunity to witness the expansion during Gamescom, as confirmed by the “inZOI” Studio. This event will offer the first real glimpse of the expansion, along with playable demos allowing players to explore Cahaya personally.
Producer and director Hungjun Kim described that Cahaya is a city designed with the concept of ‘rest’ in mind. Developing the game inZOI has brought him much pleasure, but there have been moments when he yearned for escape. Drawing inspiration from these desires, he aimed to construct a sanctuary where players overwhelmed by the routines of daily life could relax and rejuvenate.
