
IO Interactive has announced it is no longer working with Build a Rocket Boy, the team that created the game MindsEye.
The company behind the Hitman series released the game last year. However, starting March 16, 2026, the team who actually made the game will now also be responsible for publishing it.
A planned team-up mission between Hitman and MindsEye has been cancelled, unfortunately.
Well, it looks like IO Interactive is officially done with the game now, and honestly, after that rough launch last summer, I can’t say I’m surprised. It really makes you wonder if they’ll ever decide to publish games made by other studios again, though. It’s a bit of an open question right now.
Build a Rocket Boy has unfortunately had another round of layoffs. Despite this, the CEO continues to believe the game was deliberately sabotaged.
It’s hoped the game can improve, but considering its current reputation, it faces a tough challenge.
