Okay, so Gameduchy just announced they’re bringing their mech combat game, Iron Saga, to the PlayStation 5 in 2026! I’m really excited – I’ve been waiting for this one!
I finally got my hands on Iron Saga VS when it launched on Steam back on March 21, 2025, and it’s awesome! Not only does it have all-new mechs, but they’ve included some classic ones too – I’m talking about machines from series like Mazinger Z and Dancouga: Super Beast Machine God. It’s a dream come true for a mech fan like me!
Beyond the PlayStation 5 version, players can look forward to several updates in 2026. A new story mode called “Saga Mode” and a new playable character will arrive in the second quarter of the year, followed by Great Zeorymer in the third quarter. More content is also planned, including a new set of moves, unique finishing cinematics for each character, and other exciting surprises.
Here is an overview of the game, via its Steam page:
About
Prepare for an amazing battle! The creators of Game Duchy are excited to announce the newest installment in the Iron Saga series—Iron Saga VS—coming soon to Steam!
Embark on a New Adventure in Story Mode
Following the devastating Battle of Hinomaru, a sense of relief washed over the world as things began to calm down. However, just as stability was returning, a dangerous new enemy appeared: the mysterious “Mimicry” Mecha. These machines were incredibly adaptable and evolved quickly, soon becoming a threat to everyone—known as “Contra Mundum.”
But, in the realm of Mecha, the true battleground is often the human heart.
In Iron Saga VS, you’ll play different characters and experience the story from their points of view. The better you play – the higher your scores – the more rewards you’ll earn. Can you step up and protect the world from the dangerous Mimicry?

As a huge fan of mech games, I’m really excited about Iron Saga VS! What I love is that every mech is loaded with different weapons and has its own unique systems to manage. It’s not just about blasting things; you really have to think strategically about how you use your resources and combine your skills to win battles. It lets you develop your own playstyle, which is awesome!
