Wondering if you can play the next Battlefield game with your EA Play Pro, PlayStation Plus, or Xbox Game Pass subscription? We’ll break down the options if you’re hoping to save money on the game.
With the release of Battlefield 6, fans of online shooting games are enjoying its massive maps. However, the £60 price tag for the standard version might be a bit steep for those who aren’t sure if it’s right for them.
Gaming subscriptions are becoming increasingly popular, but it can be confusing to figure out which games will be available on each service when they’re released. Let us break it down for you!
Is Battlefield 6 on EA Play Pro?
Yes, Battlefield 6 is available now on EA Play Pro.
With the premium EA Play subscription, you’ll automatically receive the Phantom Edition of Battlefield 6 – there’s no extra charge!
For £5.99 a month or £35.99 a year, EA Play gives you access to a large collection of games, including recent FIFA (now EA FC) titles. However, to play the very latest releases, you’ll need the more expensive Pro subscription.
For £16.99 a month, or £109.99 a year, the Pro level gives you access to the premium editions of all new EA games as soon as they come out.
So, as long as I’m a subscriber, I get access to all the latest games – like EA FC 26 and Battlefield 6 when they come out – plus anything else I want to play. It’s like an all-you-can-play pass!
Is Battlefield 6 on Xbox Game Pass or PlayStation Plus?
No, Battlefield 6 is not on Xbox Game Pass or PS Plus.
If you’re waiting for the game to be added to PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass, here’s the latest: the news is a bit of both good and bad.
So, Battlefield 2042 did come to PlayStation and Xbox, but honestly, because everyone seemed to kinda dislike it, it felt like Battlefield 6 was delayed a bit. They probably pushed it back to give the next game more time to shine after 2042 didn’t quite hit the mark.
Battlefield 6 is looking very promising, and its popularity might delay its release on cheaper gaming systems.
Cheapest places to buy Battlefield 6
As of today, the most affordable place to purchase the game is Loaded (formerly CDKeys). You can get the Xbox Series X/S version for £49.99, and the PC version (through the EA app) for £54.99.
As for physical copies, you can get it on PS5 from Amazon at £58.99 with a 16% discount right now.

In his review, Alex Raisbeck gave Battlefield 6 four stars, highlighting that despite playing the last few weeks without his friends – a testament to the game’s quality – he had a fantastic time during the beta with them. He considers the ability to enjoy the game even when playing solo to be high praise for an online multiplayer title.
As a long-time Battlefield fan, I’m honestly a little disappointed with the new game. It’s good, but I don’t think it quite reaches the amazing level of Battlefield 3 and 4. Maybe I’m just remembering those games through rose-tinted glasses, though – it’s hard to say!
Battlefield 6 is a fantastic game and a real improvement over Battlefield 2042, successfully getting the series back on track.
While we might see a return to the large-scale battles of the past someday, fans of the series have a lot to be excited about with this new installment.
