If you’re an ardent Sony enthusiast, chances are you’ve been wondering all week: Will Hollow Knight: Silksong be available on PlayStation 5?
As a fellow gaming enthusiast, I’m super excited to share that the long-awaited sequel to Hollow Knight – Silksong – is almost upon us! For those who haven’t yet dived into the original Hollow Knight, you might be wondering if you need to catch up before joining in on the Silksong action. Well, fear not! While the lore and characters have connections to the first game, Silksong can still be enjoyed as a standalone experience. And for those PS5 owners out there, I’m happy to say that Silksong will indeed be available on your platform of choice! Let’s get ready to explore new worlds together!
Especially since many fans played Hollow Knight on PS4 (yes, that’s how long it’s been).
So, what’s the story with Silksong on PS5? We’ll explain everything you need to know.
Is Hollow Knight: Silksong on PS5?
Hollow Knight: Silksong is set to debut on both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, which is quite unusual for a fresh game these days. You can actually visit its store page now, but currently, it’s not ready for purchase.
It’s not surprising if you didn’t know Silksong is releasing on PlayStation 5, given that the console hasn’t been featured in any promotional materials for the game.
Initially, a computer (PC) version was bound to happen since the original was exclusively released for PC. However, the console aspect has proven to be more intriguing in its development.
Both Xbox and Nintendo have showcased the game quite noticeably in previews for the Xbox Series X, during their Nintendo Direct presentations. Notably, they both demonstrated a Silksong demo at their respective pavilions at the Gamescom event last month.
It appears that Nintendo and Xbox have both been actively promoting Silksong on their own platforms, but surprisingly, PlayStation hasn’t made any noise yet about the game coming to the PS5 as well.

I regret to inform you that due to its availability on Xbox Game Pass, this game won’t be accessible through your PlayStation Plus subscription. In other words, Xbox players are fortunate enough to play it, while we’re sorry to say that you can’t, unfortunately.
