During the second season of Return to Paradise, Mackenzie was busy with a new wave of murder investigations, all while unexpectedly finding herself wanting to reconcile with her ex. It was a confusing feeling she couldn’t shake.
Glenn was planning to marry Daisy and fully intended to go through with it—until their wedding day brought some unexpected surprises that completely changed the situation.
What’s next for Mack and Glenn? Will they end up together, or does the show have other plans for them?

Has Return to Paradise been renewed for season 3?
Not yet – but its stars would love to return if given the opportunity.
I often find myself thinking about Mackenzie Clarke and the show she was in. She’s a character I really care about, and I’m not quite finished with her story. I’m eager to see how viewers react to what happens next.
Lloyd Griffith suggests the show Ridiculousness should create a holiday special, similar to the festive episodes of Death in Paradise and Beyond Paradise.
“I keep banging the drum of trying to do a Christmas special and then do season 3, season 4, season 9,” he added, before confirming: “I’m being serious.”
Tai Hara agreed, saying a Christmas episode would be fantastic. He also highlighted how exciting it was to learn they’d been nominated for a Logie award after season 2, and that season 1 had won Best Drama.
Season 2 ended on a really high note, and I know everyone involved would be incredibly excited to return for another season.
When could Return to Paradise season 3 be released?
The first two seasons launched in September 2024 and November 2025, respectively. If the show is renewed, we anticipate season 3 will be released around late 2026.
Which cast could star in Return to Paradise season 3?
It wouldn’t be RTP without Anna Samson as Mackenzie Clarke at the helm.
We’d also expect her to be joined by the rest of her colleagues, so that’s:
- Lloyd Griffith as Colin Cartwright
- Catherine McClements as Philomena Strong
- Celia Ireland as Reggie Rocco
- Aaron McGrath as Felix Wilkinson
We’re unsure about Tai Hara’s return as Glenn Strong. While we anticipate he’ll be back, there might be a slight delay – we’ll have more details on that soon.
And it remains to be seen if Andrea Demetriades would be back as Daisy Dixon.
Plus, there will be plenty of new guest stars if the show is renewed.
What could happen in Return to Paradise season 3?
The season 2 finale was eventful, to say the least.
Glenn and Daisy were ready to get married, but the ceremony came to a halt when a guest suddenly died right after the officiant asked if anyone objected. Detective Mackenzie immediately began searching for the person responsible.
Daisy originally wanted to postpone, but the detective assured her the case would be solved quickly, allowing them to get started right away.
The investigation took longer than expected, leading to a frustrated outburst from Daisy. She finally confronted Mack, revealing feelings she’d been keeping hidden for months, as she didn’t want to upset Glenn, who she cares about deeply.
Daisy informed Mack that she didn’t want him attending their wedding. Despite this personal upset, Detective Inspector Mack continued to focus on solving the murder, and surprisingly, discovered the wedding celebrant was the killer.
Even after the police arrested him, Glenn insisted he still wanted to marry Daisy. However, Daisy refused to reschedule the wedding and ended the relationship, realizing he was still in love with Mack deep down.
Looking back, I should have seen the signs. I really tried to brush things off, and that was my downfall. Now here we are, on what’s supposed to be our wedding day, and honestly, you seem way more thrilled about her being here than about actually marrying me. It’s just… heartbreaking.
And so, that appears to be that. It really does feel like the end of Glenn and Daisy.
But what about Mack and Glenn?
He’s chosen to leave Dolphin Dove, just like Mack did after he left her at the altar on their wedding day.
But we don’t know where he’s going or for how long, just that it will be “a long while”.
So, what could season 3 bring?
Of course, there’s been a murder. While Dolphin Cove is pretty, we’d definitely be leaving if we knew how many people died there.
Also, it looks likely that Mackenzie and Glenn will reconnect, but it’s hard to predict what will happen with them. Their complicated relationship has been a key part of the show, and we’ll have to wait and see if the writers continue that storyline or take things in a new direction.
Is there a trailer for Return to Paradise season 3?
Season 3 has yet to be announced – which means no trailer at the moment.
If it does get the thumbs up, you can expect it to arrive in the month leading up to the premiere.
