I’m so excited about Soulframe, the new game from the team behind Warframe! It’s not fully out yet, but they’ve been letting some players try it through a program called Preludes. Now, they’re selling Founder’s Packs, which is how you can get in and play. Everyone’s wondering what it’s like though – is it a game you play with friends, or is it a single-player experience? I’m hoping to find out soon!
Is Soulframe multiplayer or single-player?

Soulframe is designed to be played with others, but you can absolutely enjoy it as a single-player experience. Similar to Warframe, you’ll start playing on your own, and then you can invite friends or connect with other players through in-game chat to team up.
Soulframe, being an online role-playing game, includes ways for players to communicate, like leaving messages for each other in the game world. Currently, most players agree that the main story missions are best experienced alone to enjoy the story at a good pace and to provide a satisfying level of difficulty. However, collecting gear, materials, and other items is much more enjoyable when playing with friends or other players.
It’s also important to remember that each mission is a separate instance, not a continuously running world. When you join another player, they essentially ‘host’ the mission, and their distance from you and the strength of their computer can affect your gameplay, potentially causing lag.
