In September 2025, South Park explained the reasons for recent delays and announced when new episodes would air. Creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone thanked viewers for their understanding in a statement to Rolling Stone.
The message said that because things were left to the last minute, they weren’t able to finish on time. They took responsibility for the delay and thanked Comedy Central and South Park fans for their patience. They encouraged viewers to watch next week’s episode.
