Is South Park coming to Fortnite? Release date speculation and what to expect

South Park made a comeback in 2025 after a break, and 2026 is shaping up to be even more exciting with a potential collaboration between South Park and the popular video game, Fortnite.

Fortnite often teams up with other brands, as we saw with the recent Simpsons event, and South Park appears to be the next franchise coming to the game.

But is the South Park Fortnite collab real? Here’s when it could release and what to expect.

Is South Park coming to Fortnite? Release date speculation

Okay, so as of today, there’s no official word that South Park is hitting Fortnite, but a bunch of really reliable sources who usually get this stuff right are saying it’s probably going to happen! I’m keeping my fingers crossed!

In December 2025, the X (formerly Twitter) account HYPEX announced a major collaboration with South Park is coming soon, with details available below.

Unfortunately, HYPEX has not confirmed when exactly the event will take place.

A big update is expected on January 9th, but considering how soon that is and the lack of details about the crossover event, it’s more likely the South Park update will come out later in January.

What to expect from a South Park x Fortnite crossover

Returning to our leaker friend HYPEX, they have revealed several details about the supposed event.

Expect to see several new character skins, probably featuring Stan, Kyle, Eric, and Kenny. These skins will likely show the characters piloting mechs, much like Bart Simpson did in the recent in-game event.

The game map is getting an update that includes a new Boss with a unique Medallion, plus a new event called ‘Everyone Kills Kenny’ Rift Anomaly.

We’re adding a new, mysterious consumable item, and the ‘Stick of Truth’ Mythic – a special item inspired by the South Park RPG of the same name.

We’re hoping the game will get even more customization options soon, like new emotes and back blings.

HYPEX is a well-known source of leaks, but it’s important to remember that even reliable sources can make mistakes, so don’t believe everything you hear without question.
