Teddy Mitchell, played by actor Roland Manookian, has had quite a hectic week in EastEnders.
The past year and a half has been quite challenging for this character, as they’ve been involved in a lot of major plotlines.
Phil had a complicated love life, including a relationship with Sharon Watts and a rekindled romance with his ex-wife, Nicola. More recently, he found out that his youngest son, Barney, was actually fathered by Zack Hudson.

The situation worsened when they found out their oldest son, Harry (Elijah Holloway), was involved in a major drug operation run by Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara).
While Ravi was away, his associate Okie Okyere (played by Aayan Ibikunle Shoderu) kidnapped Harry and forced him to become addicted to drugs. Teddy learned about this from Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho), who had previously helped rescue Harry, but unfortunately, the trouble didn’t end there.
Earlier this week, Okie threatened Kojo with a knife. When Harry tried to stop him, a fight broke out, and Harry unintentionally stabbed and killed Kojo.
Teddy was devastated to learn his son was accused of murder and decided to take the blame himself, though his plan didn’t work. Despite efforts from lawyer Ritchie Scott (Sîan Webber) to prove his innocence, Teddy was ultimately charged with the crime.
But where does this leave the character?
Is Teddy Mitchell leaving?

Currently, it doesn’t seem like Manookian is leaving the BBC soap. There hasn’t been any official announcement about his departure.
It’s possible his contract is only for 18 months, meaning it’s nearing its end. If so, Teddy could be leaving in the next few weeks, perhaps after a trial period.
Remember, this is EastEnders, so even though it looks like Teddy’s going to prison, a surprising turn of events could actually set him free!
