Shawn Hatosy is ready to pull some double duty in the E.R.
After the huge popularity of his role in The Pitt, the actor who plays Dr. Jack Abbot on the HBO Max medical drama shared whether he’d be interested in leading a TV series focused on the hospital’s night shift.
In a recent interview with People magazine, published on April 3rd, actor Hatosy mentioned the possibility of exploring a night shift storyline. He believes it could allow for a unique and compelling atmosphere for the show.
The Emmy-winning actor believes a show focusing on overnight hospital emergencies would give viewers a wider range of medical cases and unusual injuries.
According to Hatosy, Dr. Abbot specifically sought out the night shift because it attracts a unique and somewhat unconventional team.
Viewers will continue to see Dr. Abbot assisting the regular team of doctors—including Dr. Robby (Noah Wyle), Dr. Langdon (Patrick Ball), Dr. Al-Hashimi (Sepideh Moafi), and Charge Nurse Evans (Katherine LaNasa), along with others—as they start and finish their shifts.
Dr. Samira Mohan, who plays the popular character Supriya Ganesh, will be leaving the medical drama before its third season. Ganesh’s final episode will air on April 16th as the season two finale.

Okay, so everyone knew Joel was probably doomed, right? I mean, the way things went down with him in the game, The Last of Us Part II, was a huge clue, especially since season two is based on that game. But honestly? Nothing could have prepared me for how it happened. Seeing him… impaled like that? It was just… brutal. I was completely stunned, even knowing it was coming. It’s just… Joel! I’m still reeling, honestly.
I’ve always admired Pascal’s good humor, even when his characters meet tragic ends! It didn’t surprise me at all that he took his latest onscreen death in stride. He actually joked to Entertainment Weekly that he likes to die – apparently, it’s become something of a running theme in shows like Game of Thrones and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and he’s totally cool with it!

As someone who really believes in keeping life interesting, I’ve been making a conscious effort to shake things up! I turned 53 recently, and honestly, my brain needed a little reboot. It’s easy to fall into routines, but you can’t just do the same things day in and day out – even if you love them! I was saying on The Drew Barrymore Show that, for me, that meant stepping away from some familiar projects to try new things. Although I did pop back for a guest spot in May and I still love narrating, it’s important to challenge yourself. You can’t rely on the same old New York Times crossword puzzle every single day to keep things fresh!
But she’s not gone for good. Pompeo still pops in and out of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.

As a huge fan of Bridgerton, I was absolutely gutted when I found out Rege-Jean Page, who completely stole the show in season one, wouldn’t be back for season two. He was a total breakout star, and it was such a disappointment to learn he wouldn’t be returning after all the buzz around the first season in 2021.
He told Vanity Fair that he simply took on a job, completed it, and then did some additional work. He admitted he wished there was a more exciting story behind it all.
