Is Treyarch admitting the Black Ops 7 campaign isn’t very good? Very soon you won’t need to play it at all.

I expected this to happen eventually, but not so soon after the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7! The game’s PvE extraction mode, Endgame, will be available to all players starting Friday, November 21st.

Right now, only players who have finished the main story – including me – are able to play Endgame. You’ve likely seen discussions about the story online, but a lot of it seems to be missing important details and context.

Treyarch has announced that after the first week, you’ll be able to unlock and earn the Genesis Mastery Camo by playing Endgame without needing to complete any campaign missions.

I’m really enjoying Black Ops 7! I’ve heard good things about Endgame, and I can see why – it’s a blast. I’m planning to spend a lot of time playing it. It’s fast-paced and chaotic with some really unique enemies, which makes it incredibly fun. And honestly, the best part is that it doesn’t have any player-versus-player combat, which is perfect for me.

Not every mode in Call of Duty needs to have you sweating out of your eyeballs.

This decision raises two important questions. First, it’s unclear if *Endgame* has attracted the player numbers the developers expected. Requiring players to finish the main campaign before accessing it might have discouraged some people from trying it out when it first launched.

Most skilled players are currently focused on either completing the Zombies Easter Egg or working towards unlocking Singularity and Master Prestige in Multiplayer.

It’s natural to wonder if this change is a response to the strong negative feedback about the campaign. I’m not among those critics, personally. While it’s definitely not perfect, we have to accept that gaming has evolved, and we’re unlikely to see games like the original Black Ops titles again.

I actually enjoyed it, especially when you consider the bigger picture instead of just reacting to sensationalized clips online. The gameplay is enjoyable, and it doesn’t take a huge amount of time to finish, collect your rewards, and move on.

Honestly, I’m a little surprised by how fast things are moving, but I think it’s a direct response to all the criticism we’ve been seeing. I’m really enjoying *Endgame* – it’s genuinely fun to play! Plus, getting a sneak peek at the Avalon map is awesome, especially knowing it’s going to be central to the upcoming *Blackout* mode. It’s cool to see locations from previous *Black Ops* games making a return in Avalon, too – definitely a nice touch for long-time fans.

Players who completed the campaign within the first week – from launch until everyone gains access to the Endgame content – will receive special rewards. These include three hours of double experience for leveling up, weapons, and the Battle Pass when those features are available, plus three legendary Gobblegums for use in Zombies.

If you’ve already started this campaign, it’s best to finish it, even if you’re not enjoying it. Reward yourself with something nice when you’re done! You don’t need to team up with others – I completed most of it alone, and I’m not a very good player, so if I could do it, you definitely can!
